i walk in and flop on my bed. Just another boring day in the safety of the camp's magical borders. I fall asleep and dream about dangerous quests.

I sit down on my bunk and open my christmas present. Yeah, singular. It's from my dad. I probably forgot my math text book at home, so he had it gift wrapped and sent to me for Christmas. Hey, it's an easy way out; I have to give him credit. I'm in total shock when I tear off its reindeer wrapping paper. My dad got me a FASHION DESIGN kit, complete with a little manequin and fabrics. My dad HATES it that I love fashion, he thinks it's frivolous. I'm extremely surprised he took the time to go buy me something he knew I'd love. I feel oddly happy, especially when I look outside and see it's snowing. Growing up in Miami, there was no such thing as a white Christmas. I smile and start working on a dress.
