Life before CHB: J.D. twin brother died at birth, Dylan is her middle name for that reason. Her parents put her up for foster care because she was a reminder of her brother’s death. She spent her days taking care of the other kids and working on her book. She was bounced from house to house all her life. Shortly after her thirteenth birthday, she started receiving strange letters. One day a satyr came and took her to the Camp.
