I stand over them. As much as I would love to kill the boy, I think I'd rather watch him suffer by watching his girlfriend die. I take a step back and aim a lightning bolt at him.
"Sam!" I reach in front of him and take the blast. I go flying back and hit a tree. I hit the dust, limp.
perfect. I'd be funny if he couldn't get her to the infirmary. I stab downwards, aiming for his thigh

If the energy I have left I roll towards Xaali out of the way of Krystal I grab Xaali's hand and shadow travel us to the infirmary.

I run in. I ran along the beach. I ran because I didn't want to think. If I'd think, I'd feel guilty because I was a selfish, selfish idiot. If I thought, I'd cry. And if I cried, I'd look like a coward and a weakling. Oh, wait. I was a coward and a weakling. It was snowing. Somewhere back my shoes had fallen off. I was FREEZING! But I didn't care. I laughed. But inside I berated myself. I vowed I'd never talk to anyone again. I'd only ruin their lives. It was better when I was deaf. When I couldn't talk. When I couldn't hear. I felt a stitch in my side but still I ran, laughing all the way.

I heard someone saying something somewhere farther off. I didn't care. I kept running. I couldn't feel my feet anymore. I just kept running. I'd lost track of where I was but didnt care. I felt sick. Not just with self loathing. Genuinely sick.

I ran even faster, and caught up to him. "Noonian, it is me Hazel. I just wanted to talk.. If it makes you feel better i abandoned Drake, to come here, to see if you were okay." I smiled. "Noonian?"

I heard my name. I keep running. No one who knew could possible have anything good to say. Then I heard what she said and felt terrible. "You shouldn't have done that. I'm not worth it," I say. I wished I hasn't said that. I visibly flinched, across she would hit me like mom used to.

Nix followed Noonian, occasionally tripping on rocks. Of course, she had to trip and crash right into Noonian.

"Huh?" I look at the pendant surprised. "It was supposed to be for you..." I again felt horribly guilty. Nix caught me by surprise and I hit the ground hard.

Nix didn't hit the ground as hard as Noonian since he cushioned her fall. "Oops." She only said, turning scarlet. She didn't mean to practically bowl him over.

I helped Noonian up. I looked at the girl who knocked him down." Might want to be careful now.." I turn back to Noonian. " That is so sweet. Thanks! No wonder it is a sun... I am a daughter of Apollo. But another reason I came here was to give you your Christmas gift. " I handed over a five inch tall snow man figure, made out of small little gears. The gears moved to make the snowman wave.

Nix felt her resentment grow at this girl. She glanced down at her dagger and throwing knives. It really looked inviting now. Her face paled, and her eyes flashed dangerously. She had problems with controlling her feelings, and she knew it. Also she was blunt, which was terrible for her, because she always remarks regretful things. "Don't tell me what to do." She practically spat in her face, standing up.

"No... It's my fault." I stare at the ground. I wanted to run again. I tried to stand bur all my muscles screamed in protest. I stared at the snowman in disbelief. "Really? Ive never gotten-" I stopped unsure if I should take it. I looked at Nix. I'd made her a spear but left it at my bunk because I wasnt sure she'd even wanted to be my friend anymore.
