Kay couldn't believe her eyes. Okay, she was glad they didn't fight but still... She looked at the two boys incredulously. She then payed attention to the one who just gave money to Hammer.
- Why do you pay people to protect you? she asked. I mean, you're in this camp to train, so you can protect yourself!

"To answer m'lady first, I know how to fight, but who honestly wants to deal with those things out there?" Nigel laughed.
"And to Mason, what do you expect, to become the leader of my henchman? You are just a boy. I can have more than one lackey if I wish." Nigel replied.
Lackey? Henchman? He's lucky he's paying me. I'd've ripped his head off by now if he wasn't.

"Oh, no." Nigel said, drenching another couple with a wave. He chuckled.
"You will stay my bodyguard until I deem you useless. Let's hope that doesn't happen. Anyway, meet Hammer," Nigel said, gesturing to shake hands.
"I'm Hammer." Hammer said, a bit grudgingly.
Why on earth would Nigel hire this kid? He's a small boy. Although, that fire ball was cool. The youngest I fought of Hephaestus's children that could do that was a 14 year old boy. This kid has potential.

Jana didn't understand what was going on. And why by Hades did he hurl waves at happy couples who didn't do anything wrong?
She frowned at the rude guy.
- Why did you do that? she asked. And why the hell do you have lackeys?
She looked at the little boy, Mason. What did he do to you, poor little one, she thought.
- Mason, why did you agree to get paid? And why do you even bother to talk in a friendly way to ... Nigel, right? Why? Don't you see how he's treating you?

She was so dumbstruck she hardly managed to speak.
- Are you all crazy or what? she suddenly cried out.

"Come now, craziness? No," Nigel smirked. "If I were crazy I would be drenching couples near the shore." He now smiled malevolently.
"Ha! I like this guy." Hammer commented, lightly patting Nigel's back, although a bit too hard, Nigel looked angrily at him.

Jana Kay shook her head, not believing what was going on. She turned to Nigel.
- Why are you bossing people around? Why are you acting as if you were more worth than us? she continued asking. And yeah, my name's Jana Kay. 'Can call me Jana or Kay, as you see fit.

"Acting like I'm worth more than you all?" Nigel smiled, but it was a fake one. He wanted to impress this girl. How would he do that if he shown her his bad side?
"What's that, Mason? You wanted to make an action movie? Here's a couple extra for you," Nigel said, handing him a roll of money.
"I don't act like I'm worth more than others." He said, hoping that would cover it.

Re: The Sandy Beach
- No, 'course not. You just said a couple of minutes ago Mason was of no importance.
She suddenly stopped. What was happening to her? She was always cheerful, and now she was close to yell at somebody. She was even ironical!
She tried to apologize, but dropped it.
Kay lowered her gaze onto the ground and started drawing "Demeter" in Greek alphabet on the sand with the tip of her foot.
Jill walks slowly in, and watches Nigel and Mason from distance. Along with them, there are two others she doesn't know, a big boy and a very thin blonde girl.

Re: The Sandy Beach
"Damn." Nigel whispered, as the smaller girl approached, Jill.
"What are you going to do, little girl, spit at me?" He asked sarcastically. He was feeling a bit confronted, a girl who caught him red handed, and Jill, whom was number one on his nuisance list at the moment.
A daughter of Demeter? It's no wonder why I've never fought her, Demeter's children never fight. Hammer thought. He seen Nigel look evilly at the small girl. Nigel sure does get himself in a lot of trouble. Can't wait to fight his fights.

Jana looked down at the smaller girl.
- Hey, she said cheerfully. Who are you?
Jill walked over to them, holding her sword in her uninjured hand. She greeted the anorexic girl.
- I'm Jill Valley, she introduced herself. His sister, she pointed at Mason.
Jill glared angrily at Nigel.
- And anyway, if I would be spitting at you, you've got a whole bunch of precious clothes at home to change yourself, don't you?
She imagined the pile of clothes.
- I'd like to spat at all of them. But unfortunately, I only succeeded in purifying the ones you're wearing at the moment.

"Why you little-" Nigel said, but Hammer grabbed him.
"Let me take care of this," He said.
Hammer knew he wasn't about to hit a small girl, his reputation would be ruined.
"I assume you want to get back at Nigel for whatever he's done, but I'd suggest not doing it, at least, not right now." He winked at her.

Re: The Sandy Beach
Jill looked at the other boy.
It was incredible how her shyness just disappeared when she was angry.
She let out her anger at the big lad.
- And who're you to tell me what to do? she snapped.
It was a bit odd, because she, the ten-year-old, was looking up at the muscular seventeen-year-old, talking to him as if he were smaller than her.
- This is my personal matter. With Nigel. And Mason, she added. No one else takes part.
Jana Kay put a hand on the little girl's shoulder.
- Be careful, she said.
Jill shook the girl's hand off.
- He be careful, she said, even if it was a bit pathetic-sounding.

Re: The Sandy Beach
"Suit yourself." Hammer smiled. He didn't care if Nigel ordered him to take care of the girl or not, he wouldn't deal with a girl who's head was as big as his bicep.
"Hammer, do something!" Nigel commanded Hammer, but Hammer ignored him and just smiled.
"Fine." He said, taking off his overcoat and hat, then throwing his cane to the side. He grabbed his rapier. He could not be made a fool of with this girl. He would not.
"You wish to settle something? Come then." He bowed, planning how to cheat.

Jana's eyes widened, and so did her mouth.
- You're not..., she started.
Jill didn't listen to Thin Girl. She twirled her sword around.
- Come on, moron! she cried out loud to give her courage.
She wasn't sure at all of winning this duel, but she didn't care. She wasn't just fighting for her, she was fighting for Mason.
