- Mason is but a child, Jana Kay explained. You can't pay a child. And in my opinion, you're influencing him. And as for Hammer... Well, of course it's my point of view, but friendship is stronger than money. If you have a group of friends, they'd protect you better than "servants",even if you pay them 1000 dollars the hour.

Jill had hidden behind a near dune, just so she would see Nigel's back. It's not finished, she thought. Just so you know. If you continue treating my brother that way...
She moved her left arm and winced with pain. Even the regular nectar and ambrosia dose she took everyday failed to completely heal her, but within a week, she would be fine again.
And then Imma kill Nigel, she thought. For good.

I stood up, stretching. I felt really stiff, especially in my back, which hadn't been exactly straight the entire time. I cracked my neck and looked around, seeing a few more people on the beach that hadn't been there before.

"Ha, friends." Nigel laughed at the word. "There is no such thing. It is only an illusion formed by the mind to show that both persons want the same goal- and will use each other for it." He sneered. He truly believed this statement. Only the weak would think they actually had friends.

Jana felt offended by what Nigel had said. She had valuable friends, and felt wounded for them.

- That's wrong, she simply said. In my opinion, she quickly added, not to offend him.

After one last glare full of hate, Jill turned her back to the beach and headed for the infirmary. Her arm was paining more than ever and she needed ambrosia.

"That's fine if it's your opinion. Such is the mistake of fools." He replied, getting up, knowing his welcome was worn.

"I'll see you when I see you, m'lady." Nigel bowed, walking over to Hammer.

"Time to leave, boss?" He asked, smirking.

"Yes. Although I warn you, next time you throw me like that will be your last time." said Nigel.

"How would you going to accomplish that? It would take hundreds of your bodyguards to take me down." Hammer replied, a bit jokingly, but more so serious.

"Don't underestimate me." Nigel simply said, walking back to the cabins.

"Why would I do that?" Hammer laughed, following him off.

Aria smiled at him, then checked her watch. "Oh my gods!" she cried. "I'm going to miss -" she broke off mid sentence and ran off. She felt bad about leaving him, but old habits died hard.
