    Name: Landon Greene

    Age/Birthday: 16 years old. Born December 2nd

    Gender: Male

God Parent: Khione, goddess of snow

    Claimed: Yes.

    Mortal Family: Ryan Greene(deceased father)

    Years in Camp: Two.

Brief History: Landon was always a latchkey kid. As soon as he began to attend school, he had a key strung around his neck to let himself in the house. Being a single father supporting a child was no easy task, and it took up most of Ryan Green's time. So after Ryan taught Landon how to care for himself, Landon did. Ryan woke him up in the morning on his way out the door to work, and then Landon took care of the rest: getting showered and dressed, getting on the bus, going to school, going home on the bus, making himself something to eat, and amusing himself through the lonely evenings. Then Ryan returned home sometime around 8pm with take-out for Landon. Ryan would go to bed, exhausted while Landon ate the take out and watch television or, on occasion, try to finish homework. The Taco Bell or pizza that his father brought home was the closest Landon had to a home-cooked meal.

Of course he would've liked to see his dad more as a child, but he was a very smart boy. He knew it was no time with dad or no food and no home. So he rarely mentioned the thought of spending more time together. Landon struggled through school on account of his dyslexia, adhd, and his lack of parental or teacher help with work. He couldn't stay after school for tutoring ever, due to his lack of transportation aside from the bus, and Khione and Ryan weren't exactly around to help with those troubling math problems. So he grew to hate it. He hated teachers always questioning why he was having so much trouble, hated when people asked him what he got on a test when he knew he failed, hated when the teacher said most of the class did good instead of all of the class did good on a test because he so often was the only one who did poorly. He eventually stopped doing homework and started skipping more often. When teachers called the house, nobody answered. When he was issued detentions, he never showed up. He didn't bother to tell people about his situation anymore, tired of repeating the same explanation to people who would just ask again the next time it happened. There was no way to fix it, he was convinced, and it wasn't worth the effort to try.

And then his father died, struck by a car across the street to his workplace during the morning, and Landon just about lost it hearing the news. Landon was only 11. After he was placed into the system, he disconnected himself from the world, stopped doing homework, going to school, talking to people. Refused to take directions from his many sets of foster parents and teachers. For a short while, he stopped eating and drinking. He became reckless and did things that could've killed him. He was sent to a treatment facility where he was forced to eat and talk to a therapist. His behavior was watched at all times and he was allowed to do very little, like go past the fence outside that locked he and all of the other patients in. It wasn't long before he figured out how to get out.

Landon faked happiness and recovery until they released him a year later, convinced he was no longer troubled. He had met some decent people during his stay at the facility, but none that had actually made him feel like things were going to be okay. It was only a few days after he got out that he tried to kill himself. Landon had picked a cold, rainy day(for some reason he found that he enjoyed cold weather. Well, not so much enjoyed but it was the most bearable of all weather) to take a walk. He chose one direction and went that way, for hours, until he was out of town walking alone along a turnpike. Cars flew by, many honking horns as if to make him get out of the road, but it only reminded him of his father's death. Eventually, when his body and mind were exhausted, he decided enough was enough, and turned to step into the traffic. He was making his way across the shoulder and was about to move in front of an oncoming delivery truck when he heard someone frantically calling his voice from behind.

As it turns out, this frantic voice came from a patient of the hospital he had stayed at. It was one of his acquaintances who had apparently been there for an eating disorder. The patient had a strange addiction to eating cans and other thin metal scraps. The other boy's name was Danny.

Down from the hill Danny rushed, and Landon couldn't help but notice that the boy seemed to be running on hooves. Landon had stopped on the white line separating the shoulder from the turnpike lane to wonder if he was hallucinating from his lack of a nourished, fortifying diet(after he was released he quit eating) when Danny finally caught up and yanked him by the arm, dragging him to the far edge of the shoulder where they were the least likely to get hit. After Danny scolded him--which Landon didn't even pay attention to, his first question was completely irrelevant to the speech and was asking why Danny had goat legs--Danny explained that he was a satyr and meant to bring Landon to camp half blood. He specified that he was meant to bring Landon back alive and then grabbed his arm and dragged him back to town. They both narrowly avoided getting hit by traffic on the way.

When they returned to town, Danny brought Landon straight to the bus stop. They gave the driver enough money to buy them two bus tickets. Then they went from Landon's home town of Augusta, Maine, all the way to Camp Half-Blood in New York, where Landon has been ever since. A few weeks after Landon was settled into camp, he was claimed by his mother Khione, goddess of snow, and Danny left to go escort more Half-Bloods to camp. As far as Landon knows, Danny hasn't returned, even though it has been years.

Physical Appearance: Landon is about 5'6", average height, and on the thin side. He started eating again, knowing his mother is alive somewhere, but doesn't like to eat that much, and has a naturally wiry body structure. If he removed his shirt one would see ribs, and he's a little sensitive to it(but not enough to help himself). To combat the problem of people seeing how thin he is, he constantly wears sweatshirts and long pants.

Landon has sandy blonde hair with bangs that sweep towards the right. His hair is a short to medium length that begins that stops around his ears in the front and at the level of his chin or so in the back, where the hair is thinner and curls in slightly to his neck. He has dark-blue green eyes and fair skin, with doughy cheeks that are a light shade of pink, and grow redder in the cold.

Due to Raynaud's Syndrome Landon's arms and legs are rather pale, and during an attack will become blotched with patches of white, red, and even purple skin. Because of Raynaud's he is surprisingly sensitive to the cold. But he still likes to spend time in the cold because it clears his head and gives him a normal reason to wear heavy clothes, which hides most of his blotchy skin and under-weight physique anyway.

Personality: Due to the past trauma of his life, Landon is not quick to get to know people. He is polite and kind enough, but knows first-hand that people don't last forever, so he makes himself believe that they won't stay, and treats them like so. He treats people like one might in an elevator. Say a few quick words and move on.

He won't outwardly speak about anything personal, but if you can manage to get him to spill his tale, you are probably someone he holds very dear to his heart, even if he hates it. Landon is very loyal to the select few that do manage to get close to him, and would do anything, anything for them.

Adventurous isn't quite the word to describe Landon; he's more reckless than adventurous. He'll do crazy things not necessarily because they bring a spark of fun and adrenaline to him, but rather he doesn't care about consequences. If he dies, he dies. Needless to say, Landon has bouts of depression where he honestly doesn't care if dies, and occasionally hopes it happens. This is his ugly side, where he cuts off everyone from the world and does his own thing. It takes a lot of nagging and love to get him out of it, as he's rather stubborn when he gets this way. At any other time, Landon is relatively reasonable and easy to get along with. But when he's genuinely depressed, he won't really listen to anyone.

Landon is a warm person. He doesn't like seeing people in pain and will try to help them, so long as he can do so without involving himself too much. He acts like he doesn't enjoy being the center of attention, but inside he does enjoy people poking and prodding him and getting inside his head and heart, because it makes him feel like he's important and belongs. In this way, he's a bit of a romantic. He doesn't fall in love with just anybody, but if one person devotes enough attention to him, he'll begin to have feelings back. Looks don't much matter to Landon. It's all about personality. If he is spending time with someone who is arrogant and doesn't care about others, he'll walk away without a word. He doesn't argue, doesn't fight. He'll just leave.

The only way to see him fight is to hurt something important to him. Punching him will do nothing. Punching his friend will invoke his wrath. It's best to stay out of his way, because he can be as fierce as his mother when the situation calls for it, and all of his bottled up rage and pain is unleashed in a furry of attacks, much like a snow storm.

Fatal Flaw: He is border-line on the will to live and the want to die. Say the wrong words and he'll stop eating, sleeping, talking, and let himself die. His opinions on life are dark, and he just doesn't care. He'll step across train-tracks even if a train is coming if someone catches his eye on the other side. Danger doesn't bother him, and he's completely irrational in his actions most of the time.

Pets: Landon used to keep pets like mice and hamsters but was tired of them dying on him, so now he doesn't like to keep pets.

Talents: Landon was gifted with the power of Thermokinesis. Well, half of the power, anyway. In a nutshell, it means he can drop temperatures in things if he focuses enough on them. He slows the kinetic energy of atoms that make up objects, which decreases the heat. He finds it's easier on smaller objects, because there are less atoms to contend with, and better with living organisms. Keep young children away from Landon! The power is mostly voluntary, he uses will-power to control it, but if he physically touches something the power also activates, regardless of whether he wants it to or not. So don't hug him for too long or you might find yourself shivering.

The power takes some time to kick in, especially with bigger objects. The atoms are slowed, not completely halted at first, so the temperatures decreases, but not from 92 degrees fahrenheit to a sudden 30 degrees fahrenheit. The process is a gradual one. Bugs seem to be the only thing he can kill quickly, because they're so small the freeze to the point of death in a few seconds. Humans would take between half an hour to an hour, and so on and so fourth. Just don't fall asleep in his arms and you should be fine. The downside is, once he speed drops the temperature, he can't raise it back up. It must increase naturally, so it'll be slower going up than it was going down.

Landon is an excellent shot with a bow at medium to long range. He can accurately pinpoint moving targets and determine how much strength to put into the arrow for a straight, swift shot, so avoid him in archery competitions and long-range fights. If you want to take Landon down, go for close range or even hand-to-hand combat. He's frail and can be easily snapped into pieces, especially by the Ares cabin kids.

He is also quick on his feet. He'll shoot an arrow and dash to another position elsewhere to shoot again. It comes in handy to avoid close ranging fighting, which is practically instant death for him. If he can't kill while evading, he's done for.

Weapons: A white birch longbow with blue sapphire tips on each end where the string is attached through small grooves. Landon has three types of arrows, each color coded. The celestial bronze arrows are, like their name suggests, completely bronze, the aluminum arrows are silver in color with blue feathers and tips, and the carbon arrows are black with red feathers and white tips. His bow can change into a silver ring that he keeps on the middle finger of his left hand. The black bag of arrows that he slings over his back can be subdued into a black ring with red stripes that he keeps on the middle finger of his right hand.

    Year-round or Summer: Year-round.

Other: He keeps twenty of each arrow type stocked in his bag generally...More if the camp is going to war or something along those lines. When he runs out, it's time to run away. Landon hates the infirmary because it brings back memories of the facility he was forced to stay in for a year. He also hates Christmas. But he has an intense love for pizzas, strombolis, and calzones. If he's being stubborn and refusing to eat, these are the foods to bring him. They're the only ones he might give in to temptation and actually consume.

When Landon drops the temperature, up to how many degrees can he drop it? How many times a day can he do this, and what's the largest thing he can drop the temperature of? (I'm a bit iffy with giving him the power to drop the temperatures of people....)

Hypothetically he could drop the temperature to a number below zero. Basically to whenever something freezes over, which will vary according to what temperature it is to start with, how big it is, etc. He can do it as much as he wants--as a matter of fact, because of his lack of control, it doesn't usually stop. This is why he doesn't like to touch people or things for too long. It's more of a curse than a power. He can only freeze things when he touches them, sometimes on accident and sometimes on purpose, and, unless it's something tiny, freezing will likely take hours. He'd have to hold it the entire duration, or else the temperature would begin to rise again, so Landon killing or really injuring someone at all likely wouldn't ever happen, unless the person were somehow in a coma and couldn't escape him, and he had the patience to sit there for several hours touching them. He can drop the temperature of any solid, and most liquids. Something like the ocean would be far to big to freeze ever, and even a small pond would likely take close to a day to freeze--assuming he's using his power in the pond for that long, which would be exhausting and just plain silly. At this point, because his powers are so untrained, he'd probably pass out before he could freeze it. And when he's passed out, his powers are inactivated. The only exclusion from this is when he's extremely emotional, in which case, regardless of conscious state, you may see some frost.

When he's overly scared or upset or angry, his power may activate even if he doesn't want it to, but, like I said, it's relatively harmless over short spans of time. Regarding the part where, if he touches someone, it activates, that tends to do with his personality more than anything. Because he's so shy and nervous, when someone touches him, the nervousness activates his power. A kiss with him may leave lips feeling cold--but they're not anything near frozen.

Because Landon isn't a close combat fighter, the power would most likely be obsolete in fighting. It's only during regular activity that it might play a part in his day.

I see.... I'd still need a limit to how much he can drop the temperature, though, since it's standard procedure.

    John T. Kayne;;
    Jay, T, Tetris, Scar, Spot
    Male
    15 years in counting
    April 14th
    Born on American Soil
Family lineage goes back to Ireland and Scotland
    Son of Asclepius[God] & Sierra Kayne[Mortal]

Skinny- A slim figure devoid of much muscle. Mostly skin and bones, very angular with the exception of his soft, oval face. Not particularly tall, nor short. He stands at around 5'6 and falls in the petite category, being around 110 lbs.
Steely- Deep-set eyes that are almost always squinting, regardless of the room brightness. They're a steely grey that contrast his skin and stand out as arguably one of his most attractive features.
Swept- sleek brown hair that looks blown to the side and does so naturally. It flares out a few inches from his head. Often pokes out of the snap-backs Tetris wears.
Freckled- And pale with baby-soft skin. The exception would be his roughened fingers due to playing instruments like bass and occasionally guitar. He's also got several birth marks scattered across him, each vaguely resembling a tetris piece, hence his nickname. There is one on his face, under his left eye, a large one just above his naval, two on the back of his right calf, and one on the inside crease of his right elbow.
Scarred- Having been in one too many skirmishes as a kid, Tetris has several scars, including the most obvious slash under his right eye and the cut about a centimeter out vertically from his mouth. He's got scars from puncture wounds and cuts under his clothes as well, primarily in his abdominal area and deltoids.
Inked- On his hip is a nautical compass with shading. It's about an inch and a half from the center and consists of the typical nautical eight-pointed star inside of the circular compass grid. The symbol is for his surrogate father, who had been a navy officer.

Thoughtful- John is more intelligent than he lets off. He can process situations in his head and come up with multiple solutions most of the time, though he has difficult rationalizing. If people knew just what rolled through his mind at any given point, they might mistake him for a son of Hephaestus. His solutions are creative and, often times unorthodox.
Anxious- Social situations are the bane of his existence, and, when under fire (or what he immediately comes to the conclusion is fire) the holier-than-thou attitude comes out. He's very easily flustered by people.
Grudging- When somebody makes it on the bad list, they stay there. Forever.
Vulnerable- It takes quite some time for Tetris to become attached to some thing or some one. But when he does, should this thing be removed from his life, it hurts him more than any knife ever has. On the bright side, this doesn't happen often. But on the downside, it's because he doesn't easily fall in love.
Self-Loathing- He's not so dim as to block out his own flaws, though he very much tries to. He knows he's condescending, and he hates himself for it. It just happens, and is uncontrollable.
Determined- If Jay is going to invest himself into something, he gives 100%. If he starts a job, he will finish it, and he'll do it to the best of his ability. This also makes him fairly stubborn.
Hesitant- Helping other people is a situation not often presented, and it leaves him unsure of whether to invest his feelings or well-being into a situation.
Loyal- If you do manage to get close to John, he will not let you down. He'll carry your body out of a burning fire if need be, and if anyone goes after you, they're going to pay.
Cheeky- You earn John's respect before he gives it to you. In this way he's rather rebellious, and can't take anything you say or do seriously unless you prove yourself worthy.

Self-regenerating amplification- While scars will still appear in situations where they normally would, being a son of a god of healing and medicine has its perks. His rate of self-healing is double the speed of the average human. A cut that would normally last for three weeks would only be around for a week and a half. This applies to veins, blood, skin, hair, organs, etc. Yes, that means he needs to go get his hair cut twice as often. The power is self-activating. For his hair, it's always active. For wounds, it activates as soon as he receives them. This is as natural as breathing to him, and he doesn't do anything to make it happen. It doesn't make him tired or nauseous or anything. It just happens, like happens to all people. The only difference is that his is a little faster.

Loyal Companions- He has no pets, nor has he ever.

Raise Your Weapon- The only weapon Tetris owns is a celestial bronze cane. It's about four feet long and has a single snake made of platinum that twists around the top, its head serving as the grip. No, it is not the Caduceus. The caduceus has two snakes and wings, and is a symbol of Hermes. This rod has one, stationary snake wrapping around the top. Spot gets the impulse to hit stupid people in the face with it from time to time. Those who think it's a Caduceus fall in the stupid people category.

Picking Up Skills- Nobody can be good at everything, but with plenty of effort and the sacrifice of some sort of time, you're bound to get good at something. Spot chose to sacrifice social life--actually, socialization chose to sacrifice Spot--and he picked up a few skills hermiting in his basement for years. Having spent so much time in solitude, he learned a little bit about instruments and music, being an avid listener of bands you've never even heard of, and having taught himself bass. He's also currently learning to play guitar. But probably more important, he's pretty much a walking paramedic, having read through the books and even tried a few of the first-aid tricks on himself. As a child of Asclepius, it runs in his blood. Plus Spot's rather fight-prone, so it seemed somewhat necessary.

With his twiggy arms and legs, John isn't much of a fighter. But, taking so many beatings in his life has helped him build a fairly high pain threshold, as well as the endurance to stay conscious through more than just a few punches. He's not a fighter, but he's not prissy, either. Being stealthy is something else he excels at, able to sneak forward and observe without making enough unsettling noise to be caught. That, too, came with unfortunate trial and error, with an added bonus of being a fast runner in the event that things got too heated.

From Then 'Til Now- Making friends was a skill John never picked up, and it made just about every school a nightmare. He wasn't even capable of making friends with his half-sister, Candice. And every institution he went to, he was represented with the same problem. He didn't like people, people didn't like him. He sat in the lunch room every day alone. To look impressive and intimidating some of the older, bigger students harassed him, and he refused to sit back quietly while they spewed out taunts. So he'd fight. And he'd lose. Badly. But as often as that happened, for as many fists he took to the face and knives he took to the chest, Spot never just let people insult him. Fear was not something that occurred to him. Not outwardly, at least.

Only one person ever made it on the list of people to respect, and that was his surrogate father, Davis. Due to Davis being in the navy and called to various military bases, the family moved a lot. Everyone complained except John. Probably because John had no attachments to any of his homes, and therefore nothing to leave behind. He was moving to be with the one person he ever really, really cared for.

When they moved to New London, Connecticut for Davis to work on the naval base, 14 year old Johnny had no qualms. He went to a new school, again, sat by himself, again, got beat up, again, and everything was the same. Until some arsonist lit a match that burned down his house and killed his father. It wasn't originally meant for his step father to die, it was Candice trapped on the second floor with wooden ceiling pieces jamming the door shut. And maybe if the firefighters had arrived sooner, Davis wouldn't have needed to make a heroic dash back inside the house to break through the burning debris and save the shrieking girl. Too bad that plan backfired, and they both ended up taking part in a living cremation.

And then he decided he truly hated people, the world, and everything in it, and his life continued in a fashion almost the same. He and his mother moved to a new home in Long Island, New York, this one feeling even more empty than usual, with the only true presence in his life no longer there. His mother wasn't much company--she never had been, always complaining about having to take care of Spot's wounds, attend meetings with the principals and convince police that he didn't deserve assault charges (which worked only most of the time.) On multiple occasions she'd called him Scar in irritation. And Candice? She was gone too, though she always had been, being such a social butterfly.

After a brief time spent in this new town, John thought, "f*** it." He took his bike and rode off, pedaling for as long as he possibly could. Hours he went, out of civilization and to god knows where. He slept on a bench when his body refused to take him any farther, and picked up riding the next morning, no food in his stomach. Eventually he veered off the road in a dizzy mess from the dehydration and blacked out when his bike collided with a tree. When John woke up, he was in camp.

In the Eye of the Beholder: John doubled over and groaned as a heavy set of knuckles went colliding with his rib cage. He could've sworn he felt at least one of worn, old bones jiggle in place from the contact, and it left him trapped in a painful paralysis on his knees, head down. He stared at the cement ground, focusing on a tiny crack that blurred around in circles as dots blinked in his eyes. There was a distorted sound of laugher, twisted and sadistic from his attackers, two built up boys from the lacrosse team that had decided to make a meal out of John's tiny 7th grade self.

    "Had enough, Lil' Scar?"

"Shut up." He muttered, gnashing his teeth together and trying to hold back yelps of pain.

"Ooh, touchy." The boy spartan kicked him from the side and he was pushed over, rolling a few feet across the cold floor. He sputtered and curled up in a fetal position, trying to focus on anything but the aches. It was pretty impossible when all your body felt like it was on fire. Blood glistened as it streamed from his nose and lip. His eyes were barely able to open through the swollen vessels under his skin, altering the area to look bright red with a touch of purple. Tomorrow it'd look much worse. But everything was worse before it got better.

Except in John's life. In John's life, everything just got worse.

I don't believe you have an extra slot for this. Are you planning on getting rid of one of your characters?

I have three extra slots, actually, two of which were purchased from Jordan a few weeks ago. If you need proof, he posted my shop request in the story section. Also, I added a rp section, as that's still necessary and I forgot it. \owo/

I don't think you ever mentioned a height, country of origin, or weapon. Please add those in there.

Not entirely sure about the healing twice as fast thing. I'll think about it.

And next time, it would be lovely if you would actually just use our form.

Added the height under skinny, the country of origin in the first block of information towards the top (under his name) and the weapon had already been there. It's the category titled Raise Your Weapon.

And I did use your form, albeit I forgot height and country of origin. I just re-arranged the order and played with the titles.

    UGH THIS IS HARD.

    Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter.
Death The Kid from Soul Eater
LANDON GREENE FROM FINCHU'S MIND. Is it bad that I love an OC so much?
There are probably others, but I can't think at the moment.
