Re: The Sandy Beach
Jasper leaned against a tree. Their conversation was just background noise to him. Ignoring the insistent pain in his chest, he grabbed a branch and used it to pull himself up. With a last look around, he left.

Re: The Sandy Beach
I strolled in, my D1500 camera's strap over my neck, as I held my "best friend," which was my camera. There wasn't really anything or anybody to capture in a photograph right now, so I didn't snap any pictures like I usually did.
I kicked off my classic Cadillac colored Vans, which I thought were vintage style. I padded on the creaking, sandy dock, the sound of salt water lapping at its columns of rotting wood that were the legs that held the platform. I sat down at the edge, and leaned back, careful so I didn't get pulled into the royal bluish waves. I slowly took off my camera, and set it a good couple yards behind me, to my left-hand side, out of the water's reach. Then, I pulled my blonde, curly hair that desperately needed a trim, over my right shoulder. I braided it, and still it hung down a good foot-and-a-half over my chest. My bare feet ran through the waves, a breeze picking up, sending my bangs flying. I couldn't swim. I never had learned. My fingers tried to creep in through the crevices in the wooden planks for grip.

I walk in with that neckless and the picture of me and Hazel and threw them both in the ocean. I turn away and left

Re: The Sandy Beach
I ran in, where I thought Noonian would be, when I find something unnatural floating by the shore. I walk over, and to my surprise was a necklace and a picture of Noonian and I, taken a few months back. I pick up the picture, and a crumple it in my fist out of anger. I didn't even bother about the necklace for I didn't even know who it belonged to. I had a feeling it might've been for me though. I pick the piece of jewlery up to examine it, and when I'm done, I throw it far back into the water. I shoved the wrecked photograph into my jeans pocket, and ran out, angrily. Yeah, keep on assuming things Noonian....

Dally walked in, smiling to himself, as he gaped over the blue beautiful sky. He had his mouth open, as he stood there, entranced by the beauty of nature.

Re: The Sandy Beach
The waves started to lap faster, and stronger. Out of my peripheral vision I saw somebody walk in, and I glanced at him. While I turned around, I lost grip through the crevices in the wooden planks, and I almost slipped in. I shifted my weight to gain balance, a spark of fear in my stomach, for I had almost slipped into the water.

Re: The Sandy Beach
Dally took a step forward, and fell face-flat onto the sand. He sat up, trying to rub the sand off his face. A little bit got into his eyes, and he started to whimper, as tears instinctively sprung into his eyes trying to clean out the sand. He rubbed frantically on his eyes, although it just continued to irritate them. "Tick tock," He whispered to himself. He wore a MENTALLY UNSTABLE bracelet as he had problems with the sand on his face.

Re: The Sandy Beach
I realized there were more campers moving into the beach to hang out, which meant more oppurtunities. Opportunities for more "natural" pictures, which meant that the victims in the photographs did not know they were being captured on a camera, so they acted normal and natural. I thought these types of pictures were beautiful. I used many different effects, mainly ones that made the pictures more vibrant, or vintage looking. I turned around to reach for my Nikon, carefully releasing grip on the dock. A strong, fast wave approached me, lapping over me, from the chest down.
The water engulfed me, taking me down. I screamed, caught by surprise, but it was muffled out as i choked on the salty, seaweed-tasting ocean water. At least my camera was fine and i had not reached it.

Dally, for once, who was interrupted into reality. He jogged onto the dock, looking at the screaming girl. "Do you need help?" He asked stupidly, scratching his hair, looking down at the girl. He was confused, by why was she screaming. It was just water, he thought.

Re: The Sandy Beach
"I can't-" I choked on water, and struggled to keep afloat. "Swim!" I finished. I plunged under water for a few seconds, then bobbed back up, finding it harder to breath with my throat clogged with salt water. I spotted a braided rope yards away. Maybe if that boy would grab it for me....

Re: The Sandy Beach
Dally, sadly, also didn't know how to swim. A small tint of orange seemed to appear around him, as he started granting her success..well to be able to swim...His god parent granted success, and Dally once in a while, granted it to a fellow stranger.

Re: The Sandy Beach
All of a sudden I was able to stay afloat by just making small movements of my arms. For a brief moment I was confused, but then I put the puzzle together. This boy's father may be Tyche. Not sure how liog this effect will last, I floated myself to the shore, and plopped onto the sand, coughing up salt water and bits of seaweed, using my right arm extended to balance myself. The other arm was used to keep my hair out of my face.

"Tick tock," Dally said, looking down at her. He noticed his black Converse were close to falling apart, as he wore them down over the year. His hazel eyes studied her, although they were filled with unsureness, and often he looked from left to right slightly paranoid.

Re: The Sandy Beach
After my fit of coughing, I gathered myself together, and looked at the boy who had saved me. I smiled wide, and said, "Thank you back there, I can't swim! I'm Kristen, and who are you?" I asked, all happily and cheery like it was a good thing I had almost drowned. I couldn't help it, I was always bubbly and upbeat.

Re: The Sandy Beach
Dally walked a bit closer to her, but still kept his distance. "I'm....Dally...uh..Dally..tick tock..Odair," He nervously said, not really knowing if he should run away screaming. Maybe she was a threat, this Kristen girl. He remembered the time some camper tried to kill him, which...tick tock..he shivered, trying to distract himself from the memory, as he made his mind as blank as possible. He forgot what he just said to the girl. He only remembered that her name was Kirsten, and he felt slightly drained..from doing what...? Oh, using his powers.

I ignored the fact that occasionally he would say "tick tock." Why would it matter? We all have our little habits.... "Well, it's great to meet you Dally!" I exclaimed, giving a large smile. "Oh, and I'm a daughter of Dionysus, by the way! He's not that bad, really, if you're on his good side!" I extended my arm out for him to shake, and looked past him, eying my D1500, which was a real camera, but recently I found out it was a crossbow and arrows. I itches to take pictures of the sunset behind Dally. It was a mixed swirl of a bright, sunset orange, raspberries, some pink, and some purple. Beautiful.

Dally hesitantly moved another step towards her, shaking her hand. "You're very pretty," He honestly told her. He was quite honest, in his state of mind.

Re: The Sandy Beach
A burst of even bigger smiles came to my face as I blushed slightly. "Why thank you, Dally!" I said. I got up, pure white sand sticking to my knees down to my feet like glitter on skin. I swiftly regained my Nixon camera, calling out over my shoulder, "You're a handsome, kind young man yourself, Dally. You'll make one lucky girl plenty happy some day."

Re: The Sandy Beach
I strutted to the beach feeling...oddly arrogant. So far, I'd only created two fights between some dryads and a couple of satyrs. I worked my way to the beach's crest and sat down in the smooth white sand, enjoying the carress of the cool water on my feet.

Re: The Sandy Beach
Dally was left standing there, like a lost puppy. "Where are you going?" He called after her, feeling quite rushed to say something. Often when he rushed, he didnt put the words tick tock in his sentences. His short brown hair just fell over his eyes, as he tried to brush it back, feeling slightly annoyed about that. His heels were dug into the white sand, which felt as smooth as a rock that was smoothed by the waves over the years.

I stretched, groaning and watched as the sun created odd color mixture on the water. Eh, it was pretty I guess.

Re: The Sandy Beach
"Just getting my Nixon! Don't want it to get lapped up by the waves, don't we now?" I called out, giggling. I swiftly scooped up my camera, standing barefooted on the swaying, wooden, dock. I bring the camera to my face, and snapped a couple quick pictures of the gorgeous sunset. A slight, cool breeze picked up, twirling the bottom of my strappy teal floral printed sundress. I took the strap of my Nixon, and hung it around my neck, the camera rested below my chest. I spun around, and hugged my soaked long sleeved grey cardigan that I wore. In a dulcet voice I said to Dally, "This camera, it's like my best friend. I take it everywhere." I smiled. I sat myself down beside him criss crossed, plucking my Cadillac colored Vans on the way.
