Sinder slowly makes her way down the hill, her hands in her pockets. As she walks, she spots a boy who was obviously Theo and another girl, who he appeared to be conversing with her. Intrigued, Sinder walks up to the two silently. Once she was close enough, she recognized the girl. Oh gods, not her. "Why are you here?" she says quietly, a bit upset. The last time they met, the girl was a total jerk. Had she possibly..no..she couldn't have changed, well not that quickly. Sinder moves her hands around in her pockets, waiting for an explanation.

Theo took a step back to draw level with Sinder when she came down the hill after him. Not caring that Eloise was watching, he wrapped and arm protectively around her waist. The last time that all three of them had met had not been a pleasant experience and Sinder seemed to be remembering that only too clearly from the tone of her voice when she addressed Eloise. Theo couldn't blame her for that, but he had to admit that Eloise's behavior more confused him rather than made him angry with her. He waited for her answer.

I could hear the hatred in her voice. I couldn't blame her. What was I thinking? I wasn't wanted. "I hope you two have a good, long, happy life," I whispered as I brushed past them again. I had what, two, maybe two and a half years left. I suppose now I should begin to think about whY I would do with my life until my... Deadline.

"Hey, wait a second!" Theo called, turning around and taking a few steps after her. "C'mon, girlie. We can work this out." Please? he thought anxiously. He felt bad for her and didn't know what to do. All he knew was that he wanted to take that pain and hopelessness away from her... to make her happy again. "Please?" he asked, so quietly that he had no idea whether or not she heard him.

I turned around to give him a weary gaze. "Why? It'll just piss her off. Me hanging around... Besides you really want me there? Watch me deteriorate physically, mentally until become totally brain dead? You really want to see that?" I asked, fighting to keep my voice level, to keep my tears at bay. I sighed emptily and turned away, shoulders slumped. I started walking away, and that's where the real difference was; Last time I saw them, my walk was light and spring, quick on my toes, and graceful, so graceful. But down... It was slow, tired, slumped and sloppy, depressed, and given up. I was broken.

Sinder felt something either snap or connect inside of her. Suddenly she felt something she had never felt before: sympathy. 'Wait.' she starts, reaching out her hand towards the turned back of Eloise.'You can come with us. I bet that you hate it here more than you hate us. And Theo is right, we can make it work out.' the girl says with a warm smile.

I wanted to scream, jump up at down, sobbing and sob: "I don't want your pity! I want to live!" but instead, I cast her a weary eyes. "No," I said. "Yoy don't want me there. This is all out of pity. Besides, this is suppose to be your happy new life together. The dying girl would just ruin it,"

'No.' Sinder states, her voice oddly full of command. 'You are coming. This life is never to be happy, only to survive. I don't like to see people die, that was Alex. I am 'me', and 'me' doesn't like to see people in distress. I'm sorry for being such a b*tch to you. It totally was not necessary' she says, staring deeply into Eloise's eyes.

"C'mon," Theo pleaded. "She said it was cool and you don't want to stay here any more than we do, I can tell. So why don't we all stop arguing and head outta here? The harpies will be snooping around and I, for one, kinda like my face the way it is. Well, sorta, anyway." His voice sounded impatient to be off and tinged with excitement. This really was happening; they were finally leaving!

'Since you are coming with us you get a say in where we go.' Sinder says, grinning a little. It was odd of her to be this nice to someone that was so mean to her before, but she just....she felt.....as if someone took the hatred out of her life and replaced it with kindness. She didn't even know if she liked being like this or not. It was certainly different than normal.

Theo looked from one to the other, relieved that things were going so well between Eloise and Sinder. He had been really worried at first that they would go after each other's throats, or that at least Sinder would because of what had happened with Eloise earlier. Thankfully, she seemed to have put it behind her. Holding his silence, he awaited Eloise's answer.
