Life Before CHB*: Kyla grew up with a mom who went out and partied every night. One night, her mom never came home and she got worried and went out to find her. She ended up getting lost and wondering around New York City. Later, she got lost in some unfamiliar woods, wishing someone would help her. Soon, she was being chased by a Stymphalian bird and ran into Camp Half Blood, only to find her new family and new home.
RP Example*: Kyla kept running. There was nothing else she could do. She was in the middle of the woods, being chased by some giant bird who seemed to want her dead. Out of nowhere, she saw a hill. At this point, the only thing she could hope for is that there was someone up on that hill that would help her. With the last bit of stenghth she had, she ran up the hill. Before she knew it, I was at the feet, no hooves, of someone. A horse, she'd guessed, but she heard a man's voice. She was going to say something, but suddenly she passed out.

Life Before CHB*: Grew up very rich in a mansion in Great Britain. She went to a fancy private school, although her grades wern't very good. She had a great life, but often wondered who her mom was. One day, her dad had their butler take her to Camp Half-Blood, to stay there for the summer. It didn't take her long to get used to her new life as a half-blood.

Life Before CHB*: Casey grew up, very close to her mom. She wondered who her dad might be, but never asked. They moved around a lot, which was fine with Casey, because she loved change. Any school she went to, she had lots of friends, but got bad grades. One day, her mom took her to CHB when there were signs of monsters.

Life Before CHB*: Melissa was given up as a baby and put in an adoption center. She got adopted soon after and she always believed that her adopted family, with her older sister and little brother, was her real family, despite the differences in their looks. One summer, the whole family went to visit her grandparents in New York and have a special dinner downtown. Melissa hated the city scene, so she begged her parents to let her explore the woods on her own. They agreed, and since her grandparent’s house was near some woods, she went out on her bike. After a while, she got lost and was looking for someone to help her get back. Eventually, she found Camp Half Blood.

RP Example*: I rode my bike through the woods, almost sure I was heading in the right direction. It can’t be too much farther, I thought to myself as I kept riding. If I wasn’t back in thirty minutes, we would be late for our dinner reservation, and my parents would kill me. I started to ride faster, thinking about that. I passed a tree with a big hole in it, and realized I’d seen it before. I’m going in circles! I turned around and started going the other way, completely unaware of where I was.

How long does the dream change last? How could a person resist it?

Well, since the average dream is about twenty minutes long, but it seems long to us, it would be about ten minutes and it would seem longer in the person's sleep. For resisting it, well for one they could wake up, or they could not be listening to her because maybe something else is happening or they're having a really vivid dream at that moment.

How far away from the person can she be in order to change the dream?

I'd say the farthest she could be from them is about 5 feet.

Cody ran away from home because he hated seeing his dad like that and didn’t know what to do. He got rides on trains and buses and survived on the little money he had and money that he earned from the little jobs he got along the way. Eventually, he made it to New York and to Camp Half-Blood.

RP Example*: I walked through the woods and came up to creek. Finally, I thought as I quickly slipped my shoes off and stepped into the water. It felt so good on my feet. I sat down on a rock and enjoyed the coolness of the water. I splashed some on my face and thought about where I would go today.
