 The sound of a carrier our plane fal cuts me off but I continue again.
"....that if you're good, you go to heaven," Most of the men in the plane, chuckle along with me. 
"highly unlikely for us......." Says Pvt. Thompson, one of my best soldiers. 
"even more unlikely for those germans." Chuckles start again from the group, but go silent as another plane goes down. 
"we lost c-3....." Sighs are heard around the group, with an occasional worried comment about family or friends on the other planes. The intercomn sparks up "......we are approaching the drop off point......... Prepare to jump......" I stand up, "Alright men you heard 'em," I start to hand out the parachutes, "Go for the  courtyard....." I strap on a parachute. ".......and may an angel guide you down, Let's go!" One by one, each of the soldiers jump from the plane until I'm the last on. I take a deep breath, "Time to head down into hell....." I jump.......

I add as I go:

Rushing towards the ground at increasing speed, 'where's the cord?' I panic slightly, grasping and grasping, the ground pulling me towards my fate. A familiar face, rugged, blue eyed, and wrinkled from a too often smile, flys towards me. "YOU'RE GONNA NEED TO PULL THIS!" Thompson shouts, bringing the cord to my hand. "THANKS!" I shout to him, clasping it firmly. He smiles before pulling his own cord. With all my might I pull the cord, pulling me away from the ground, then letting me float down.

Crunch.... Sounded the gravel, as my feet touched the ground. I quickly unstrap my parachute, which had fallen behind me. I watch the grim sky, as yet another carrier plummets. Unabashed, I walk along the gravel path, heading towards the squad regroup point. I step lightly and quickly, conscious of every slight noise. A rustling noise in a tree up ahead, attracts my attention. I approach the tree slowly, slinging my Springfield off my back. A string of muttered curses pierce my eardrums. "Who's up there?" I ask, immediately getting an answer. "Pvt. Smith, now get me down!" I walk over to the tree, spotting a soldier dangling from it. "Settle down." I tell him, as I climb up and unlatch him from his chute. "thanks" mutters Smith, as we jump down. "who are y...." he starts to ask befre suddenly realizing the answer. He stands up straight and salutes, awkwardly. "Srgt. Ross, Sir." "At ease soldier, this is war, no need to be formal." He returns to his regular form, "Sir...." "yes" "I've forgotten where the regroup point is..." He states blankly. I sigh, "follow me." I run towards the regroup point, Smith close behind me.

Well, it's good, but I think you should use past tense (my grammar teacher kept telling me about that)....

Wow... Very dark. But I like it. It reminds me a little about a book we're reading in English class: All Quiet on the Western Front. It's about WWI not WWII, but I think you'd like it.
Anyways, I'm really enjoying this story so far! It kind of makes me sad but I like it anyways. It's very, very well written, although you could add a little more detail. But that's just my opinion.
Anyways, I really loved it and I totally can't wait to read more!

The crunch of the gravel changed to a soft pat asthe terrain switched to grass. I skirt around a tree, as te density of forestry starts to increase gradually. "agh…" I stop an turn around, as Smith falls to the ground, entangled in bramble. "help…" Smith called, feebly. I sigh and walk back towards him. Carefully, I step over the bramble, and pull out my knife. "Gottabe smarter than the thicket, to get through it." I remark mockingly, as I cut and remove the bramble off his legs. "why couldn't we have just tooken the path?" Asks Smith, referring to the gravel path we had just left. "It probally was infested with Germans." I say removing the last tendril. "there..." "Put your hands up." Commands a voice from behind me, followed with the cock of a shot gun…
