"I have no idea!" Lillian called, smirking. She was already in the air, leaning over the neck of her black pegasus, as it circled around the ring.

Re: Pegasus Racing
I did my best to hide the fear I was secretly harboring. I was terrified, actually. It caught me off guard when the pegasus suddenly took off, and I clung to its neck for fear I might fall off.

Lillian urged the pegasus to speed up, while loosening her tight grip on the reigns.

I issued forth a nervous laugh. I was still undecided as to weather I was enjoying this or not.

Re: Pegasus Racing
Jess urged Lucky lower, so she was just above the water, she was dangerously low, if she were to fall off.... well that wouldn't be good.

Re: Pegasus Racing
OOC: Okay, I have an idea....
Jess was looking over the side of lucky, at her reflection in the water of the sound. She leaned so far over she started to fall over the side. Her seat-belt unbuckled her self and she started to panic. Lucky didn't seem to notice her hanging off her feet a couple feet above the water. She lost her grip on the saddle and screamed as she fell into the icy water.

Re: Pegasus Racing
"Jess!" I cried. "Jess!" I knew that water was dangerously cold. This time of year there were snow flurries in the air, and chunks of ice in the water. Military instincts kicked in and I dove into the water to save Jess.

Re: Pegasus Racing
Jess got her foot caught, she didn't know on what, the water was so dark and murky. She was a big swimmer so she could hold her breath, hopefully Calden or Lillian noticed lucky didn't have a rider. The water was freezing, when she lived in Queensland the water was never this cold. She figured she could hold her breath for the next two minutes. She struggled to get her foot free, she wasn't that deep down, she tried to see what she was caught on, when she saw it, a giant sunken ship. Her foot was caught under an anchor that was on the railing.

I resurface, gritting my teeth against the cold. I coughed and dove down again, searching frantically for Jess.

Re: Pegasus Racing
Jess tried with all her might, picking up the anchor. It was obviously too heavy. She then tried something else, wiggling her foot to get it out. Twisting it back and forth she finally freed it. she then swum to the surface. When she surface she took a big breath of air, she started coughing realizing she got some water in her lungs.

I resurfaced again and spotted her. I swam as fast as I could towards her. "Are you alright?" I cried.

"Up there," I pointed. I could see her eyes sagging closed, and became worried the both of us were going to get pneumonia.

Re: Pegasus Racing
"I think its time to go back to camp." Jess said, her whole body was shaking from the cold water, and she was exhausted. She whistled for lucky to come, which she did, gliding down next to her. She put her foot in the stirrup and swung her leg over.

I felt a funny pang in my heart for Jess, but shook it away. I swam away and climbed on my own pegasus.

Re: Pegasus Racing
Jess strapped her seat belt and checked it twice. she griped the reins, although she didn't have much strength. She felt like she might fall off Lucky but she didn't want to look helpless. She urged Lucky up and towards the camp.

BIC: Lillian watched the whole episode, not lifting a finger. She let her pegasus turn towards Camp Half-Blood; her pegasus' hooves skimmed the cyan water gently for a moment more, before soaring upwards to follow Jess.
