    Protect Greece Empty Protect Greece

Morgen Briton, daughter of Auster- the roman god of the south winds, was exhausted. If you had told her a few months back that she would be in the midst of a war fighting with Greeks she probably would have laughed at you and then carted to off to her infamous ‘Training of Hell’ where she’d probably say that it was necessary in order to make your brain cease being so damn imaginative. Now though she was so tired that she might believe just about anything you told her.
It had only been a few days in what she called the Old Lands, Ancient Greece, where the Giants that Gaia had awakened were trying to rid the world of the Gods once and for all. Third Cohort had somehow managed to get thrown into the group that would help the Greek demigods, and now here they were. Three days, 12 hours, 43 minutes, 58 seconds, and 1 dead giant later- here they were still standing their ground as wave, after wave of monsters slammed against their shield wall. Each time they managed to push the creatures back, but each time it grew steadily more difficult.
The monsters cackled with evident glee, knowing that the demigods, Roman and Greek alike, were wearing down and it was only a matter of time before their walls would crack; and when that happened the Grecian temple would be theirs to raze to the ground. Seeing the feral glints in her enemies’ eyes Morgen breathed in and closed her eyes, before opening them and stepping away from the wall. Unasked another demigod took her place.
“Hold the line! We must not let them get through!” The seventeen year old called to her cohort. “Wind demigods, step out of the line! And concentrate- we only have one go at this so make it count!”
As she had done mere moments ago, several demigods stepped out of line and others slipped into their place. She nodded to each one that looked towards her- the only signal to the hurried plan that they had concocted last night. As one the half dozen demigods raised their arms towards the skies and their eyes closed in concentration. Ignoring the jeers of the monsters, they called upon their fathers- the wind gods of both Ancient Rome and Greece- and their own powers, summoning the winds.
Sweat dampened her brow and her eyebrows furrowed even deeper as Morgen called for her father’s aid and summoned the full extent of her powers. Gradually the light breeze that had been around for most of the day grew stronger and wilder, as little by little, more winds from different directions rushed together. Still concentrating, Morgen frowned and mentally pushed the growing gale towards the monsters.
With a loud cry of, “Now!!!” Morgen and the rest of the wind demigods threw their winds towards the lines of monsters, who cried out in surprise and irritation. Unfortunately Morgen did see the effects of their combined powers as her body grew heavy and her mind, tired. She fell to the ground and knew nothing more.
