by Bell 10/17/2012, 12:40 pmI smiled to Annabeth as I showed her my favourite spot in the library. It was in the corner, and it was full of interesting book--at least for me. I picked a book and sat on the chair. "This row," I spread my hand on book shelves in front of me, "contains the most exciting books, in my opinion." Looking at Annabeth, I added, smiling even wider. "I usually use this spot to do my work."

"You have your own library?" I stared at her. I opened random pages from the book and closed it back, so at least my hands could get some little work. "That is pretty awesome. Our cabin doesn't have one, so most of us do it here."

I shrug. "Well we are Athena cabin.", I smile and blush.

"Whoa," I whistled, amazed by Athena Cabin. They were so cool! I turned and returned the book to it's original place and took another book. "Since we're here," I sat again and smiled. "You ought to find some interesting books."

I turn towards the book shelf and start to skim through the books.

I smiled as I saw her seeing through the books. It was fun to have a friend as amazing as Annabeth. Maybe she won't recognize me if I sneak out for a minute....I thought and left to find some drinks. When I got back, she still scanned the books. She didn't recognize it, afterall, I thought again. I sat back on the chair and put a few cups of milk tea on the desk. "I brought some drink," I offered.

I smiled, "I know. I saw you went out.", I laughed as I saw her expression. She thought I didn't notice. "Number one rule for when you're in battle, never let something distract you. I see everything."

I was so surprised and I almost knocked out the drinks and let it spill on the table when I stood up, staring at Annabeth with amazement. "So you did know that--" trying not to talk loudly, "--that I was sneaking out just now." I sighed and sat again on my chair. "But I've brought some drink..." I tried to defend myself, but I murmurred one word at the end, "sorry."

I laughed. "Listen its cool, I could care less, people ditch me a lot.", I give a nod and turn back towards the books. "Thanks for the drinks though"

My face was red as I heard her comments. It did stabbed me, but I hoped that she'll not hate me. "Ok," I smiled weakly but still, a gut rushed in my stomach. I assumed that it was a guilt feeling.

I looked back at her sensing her guilt. "Serousily its cool it doesn't mean anything. You were just getting us some drinks." I walk over to the couch with a book on greek mythology. I crouch down and pick up the cup which was now full of lemonade. "Its really good lemonade"

"Oh, okay," I said, sitting back on my chair, feeling extremely relieved. I took my own tea (it was milk tea) and sipped it. "Yeah, I got them from Demeter cabin."

"Do you know anyone from the Demeter cabin?", I ask questionably.

"Yeah," I said, sipping my tea again. "They are all very nice to me. And good at making food. And great at decorating plants. But of course your cabin's nice too."

"Yeah....my cabin can be tough at times", I let out a breathy laugh. "But most of the time they'll be nice to other campers" I bite the inside of my cheek, a nasty habit I had started a few months ago. "Unless you make them lose a capture the flag game, then you're dead", I wink at her.

I gulped. I heard rumors that Athena’s cabin can be really strict and full of no-mercy in a fight. They often win too, since their mother were Athena, the goddess of strategy. They probably won’t tolerate losses that much. “Well,” I tried to figure out what was I going to say, “Uh, maybe I’ll try my best not to lose in a fight.”

I try to stop myself from laughing and act serious. "Yeah you better if not we'll have no mercy!"

"Ooh, stop scaring me!" I stared at her. But I saw a glimpse of her laughing, and I couldn't stop myself from laughing too. "Hey! You're laughing! Is that only a joke?"

"No Im serious, we will....feed you to the hellhounds. Why do you think Athena never loses, not only is it us we have help. People are so motivated not to be fed to the hellhounds that they play awesome!", I say it with a straight face.

I gulped once again. I straightened myself and said to Annabeth, though my voice was trembling. I held my half-drunk milk tea on my left hand and gave a nervous thumb up to Annabeth with my right hand. “O—okay then, I’ll definitely try my best not to lose when you pick me as your team!”

I nod and then look at my watch I gasp, "Im sorry Cassia but I got to go alright, it was nice seeing you again! Stop by my cabin whenever you wanna hang." I put the book back on the shelf and leave with a quick wave goodbye....
