Age: 16
Gender: Female
Eyes: Heterochromic (Left eye green, right eye blue)
Hair: Blood Red (not naturally, she dyes it)
Height: 5’5”
Body Type: Slender and lanky
Skin Color: Bone white
God Parent: Phobos
Mortal Parent: Karina Maw
Country of Origin: United States (mother was from Russia)
Pets: She has a black cat named Viktor, named after her brother
Talents: Very good profiler- can tell many things about people from their actions and habits, usually fears and the like; can tread very lightly in any habitat; pretty good at creeping people out
Weapon**: A set of CB Chinese butterfly knives
Flaws: She scares people whether she wants to or not, and usually ends up isolating herself and pushing them away because she thinks she is some sort of monster.
Powers(must relate to god parent; optional): She can use what she calls a ‘twisted blowfish’ tactic. If she knows what a person is afraid of- which she tends to know- she can reflect that for short bursts of time: usually only a few seconds, but that’s long enough to stagger an opponent. She could keep up smaller illusions- rats or worms or whatever- for longer, a few minutes, but they’re extremely life-like. Longest she's ever held a full-body illusion so far has been 25.6 seconds. She'll probably never be able to hold it for over 30 seconds, but she still tries. She's held small outer illusions for up to three minutes, the time decreasing with the size of the illusion. The largest illusion she can hold is up to 75 square feet, but that would only last for less than a second so she doesn't bother with things that large.
These powers can’t be used often unless she has kept herself from using them for a while, so she trains herself not to rely on her power alone. She can use her power as long as she's concentrated and has enough energy- can be once if she's having a bad day or up to ten if she's doing good that day. She's never been able to do more than ten a day, although she tries.
The minutes/seconds she can hold it all depends on how much she's used it that day, her mood, variables like that. No two times are exactly alike, and she does try to note how long she can keep going. She's a bit of a scientist in that light.
She’s been told she practically emanates an aura of fear, whether that’s a power or not is up for debate. She likes to think that it is.
Life Before CHB*: Aura lived with her mother in a run-down part of New Jersey for a while. She spent her childhood playing in abandoned buildings(usually scaring the people who walked by), and looking up to her older brother Viktor. When she turned ten, however, her brother didn’t come home from his job at a nearby scrap yard. Her mother wouldn’t tell her what happened, but when she went over herself, she knew he wasn’t coming back ever. After having her brother torn away like that, she began to take her anger and frustration out on the innocent passerby. One day, as she was staring out the window and pretending to be a possessed little child, the people who walked by stopped and began to scream, running like they had seen a ghost. When she looked at her reflection in the glass, she wasn’t herself- she was a monster. She didn’t know at the time that it was only an illusion and would disappear, but it was what prompted her mother to tell her the truth about her father.
RP Example*: Aura looked around the building she used to play in as a child. She could have sworn she heard her brother’s voice echo around the hall, warning her not to hurt herself. Her throat tightened, eyes burning. She looked away, back towards the door. She wasn’t in the mood to deal with the emotions that the building brought up, but she needed to say goodbye. Her mother was waiting by the road. She gripped her bags tighter, set her jaw, and left the memories behind, stuck underneath a jutting piece of scrap metal and a dying rose.
Any notes about your characters: She doesn’t get scared easily, but all other emotions come pretty fast to her. She was always the first one to cry during the sad part of the movie or the first to laugh when someone said something funny(funny in her sense being extremely morbid). When memories of her brother creep back into her head it can take days for her to get better.
