I walk in just in time to see a girl crying on her bed. She is older than me, maybe 16 o 17. Her hair is curly and all messed up, like she just took it out of braids.
-"Ummmm.......is everything okay?"
I ask the girl. I think it is pretty obvious somethings wrong, but this an awkward situation that I didn't want to get any more awkward.

I sniffle and look up to see one of my cabin mates. She must've been new, because I hadn't seen her before. She looked about a year younger than me, her blonde hair twisted into a messy braid. I wipe the tears off my face and blush a little, embarrassed that she had seen me crying.
"Oh, it's fine." I replied as I grabbed a nearby tissue with shaky hands. I blew my nose and regained self control. "Just... missing someone." I smile a little, even though I was sure that this girl knew it was fake.

She smiled a fake smile while wiping her tears. Since her mom is Demeter, like mine, she was probably talking about her dad. I knew how she felt. This was my first full day, and I already missed home.
-"Okay. I'm McKenna, is there anything I can do to help?" I ask.
I knew there probably wasn't considering I was new and could hardly figure out my way to the bathroom, but it felt like the right thing to say.

I giggle a bit, then brushed a strand of hair out of my face. "That may be important!" I replied. I started to braid my brown hair into one messy braid, as I reached under my bed. I pulled out a folded piece of paper and handed it to Alexandra. "This might come in handy. I got it from a Hermes kid when I first came here." I said, with a smile.

I unfold the piece of paper and find myself staring at a map. It has the whole camp on it. I find the bathrooms just beyond the cabins.
