"What you've never even seen Grown Ups? That's one of the funniest movies I've ever watched." Tristan sat there jaw gaping in disbelief.

"Cool we'll start with the fellowship." Tristan put the movie in the dvd player. "Hey kitten can you make some popcorn? It's in the cabinet above the microwave." he asked her politely.

Alexis nodded and stood up, she grabbed the popcorn and placed it in the microwave. She pressed the buttons and let it cook , while placing her hands on her hips.

Tristan just relaxed and watched the movie. He took a handful of popcorn and ate a few pieces.

Tristan nearly choked on his popcorn. "Wh-what?" he coughed. Tristan composed himself after all he said he would tell her. "Two months after Shiemi and I broke up I went to a temple for New Years." he paused looking at Alexis briefly. "On my way out I ended up knocking someone over, when I helped the person up I realized it was a girl. We introduced ourselves, her name was Amu." Tristan smiled at her name. "We became best friends quickly and after a couple months realized we had feelings for each other." he clenched his jaw "Three years later monster activity spiked and Amu was almost killed. She spent a month in the hospital, and I broke up with her, she wasn't safe with me anymore. Amu begged me to stay with her, she said she'd learn how to fight so we could be together. It was a risk I couldn't take." Tristan bowed his head, his bangs covering his eyes. "Eventually she started dating someone else who loved her and would keep her safe. She tried to make things work between us but it was too painful, I never wanted us to end, b-but it was for her own safety." his voice quivered as he spoke. "A few months later I came to camp, and I haven't been home since. Not a day goes by that I don't think about her." Tristan clenched his fists, until his knuckles turned white. "I'm still in love with her, but there's nothing I can do except move on. It's too late, I know my feelings will never change but there is no going back now."

Tristan rubbed his eyes with his sleeve, then looked at Alexis. "I'm sorry." He didn't mean to hurt her feelings but she did ask.

Tristan tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. "That's in the past, I still think about it...but not as much since I met you. I haven't thought about well until you brought her up." He shook his head as if to clear the thoughts away. "I really enjoy your company." Tristan smiled softly at her.
