by Ryn the Sylph of Heart 3/31/2013, 4:55 pmI was aware of two other people now. Judging by their voices, both male. The second one had ran off somewhere while the other remained. Continuing to hack, slice, and dodge, I surprisingly received little injuries. Until I had been hit at the side with another hell hound, I had been perfectly fine. Instead warm blood oozed from my right shoulder. "Aaaarg!" I continued to fight but ran a bit farther from the two hounds.

I grabbed some of the emeralds and threw them at the hound, not hurting it, but confusing it long enough for me to retrieve my dagger. I ran up and hit it in the neck again, this time wounding the hound, making it vulnerable to any other attacks.

Attempting to fight two handed, I unsheathe my other blade. "Come and get it!" But the hounds seem to run in another direction. Towards the fallen one, Alder, the hounds discover themselves with vulnerable meat. I sprint to attack and hack at one of the hounds on the side. I still would rather be fighting with my scythe, but I couldn't see where it landed. While taking the offensive, I trip over something, like a pole meeting a blade. "My scythe?!" I reach under me to grab my scythe after I sheathe my xiphoses and attempt to prop myself up but my arm prevents me from doing so.

I grab dirt and throw it at the hellhound's eyes. They run past me.

When I manage to get up, I stand facing no particular direction. "I can do this," I motivate myself. When I lock onto the nearest hound, I wait until it is within two feet of my person to then side step and strike. The hell hound was the one I had chopped up a few times so it whimpered before the hound exploded into dust. Two down, two to go. I sliced down wards to the hound nearest Alder but missed by a few inches. I suddenly gained an amusing idea. Quickly, I distanced myself from the hound and concentrated for an animal. I'm not sure what animal I summoned but, I summoned one. At least on of the two hounds became distracted with the new animal. Hell hounds were dogs too. "I can only hold this up for three minutes! Hurry and kill them!"

I get up. I use the rest of my strength to throw a bgi rock at the hellhounds, crushing one of them.

The hell hound was greatly injured and needed a final blow from a magical metal. I aimed my blow across the face of the hound and killed it. The rock hit the ground as the hell hound disappeared. My concentration lost and the animal ceased its resurrection. But the remaining hound ran over to Alder again.

I took a chance and shadow traveled to on top of the hell hound. I almost fell off because of the slight dizziness. I chopped and hacked but my strength was fading from using my powers. I felt the hell hound prepare to swipe it's paw then bite. Not yet but soon. I quickly tried to kill the hell hound again.

"NO!" I feel the hound swipe it's paw and try to bite Alder. I still continue to hack at the hound which was difficult when you are trying to stand on it.

I finally manage to deliver a fatal blow to the hell hound and I fall down as the hound turns into gold dust. I land on my side. "Arg." When I get over my pain. "Is he dead?" As I get up, my sense of direction is a bit off and I stumble off somewhere.

"Lord..." A run to Alders aid, but his life is already taken. I regret coming sooner. If he had said something, I could not hear (well duh).
