Re: The Sandy Beach
The wind kept blowing Presley's hair right into his face as he strolled along the beach. "God...damnit.." He muttered as hair flew right into his eyes. Irritated, he rummaged through his book bag until he found his dark blue beanie, then hastily pulled it on. His dark brown hair finally nestled inside the beanie and he was now able to examine his surroundings. The beach was always his favorite place to read. It was better than being in his noisy cabin, which was filled with campers. He'd always feel envious of the peace and quiet from the Big Three cabins as he walked by them every day. Settling down onto the sand, he set his book bag to the side of him and watched the waves crash against the rocks.

Aveline Johnson walked along the beach, her nose buried in a worn copy of Beautiful Creatures. It wasn’t often that she was seen with a small book, let alone a huge one - she preferred to wander around the camp, making attempts at socializing - but she had found it interesting. Naturally, being lost in the story, she wasn’t looking where she was going, and managed to trip and fall over someone. This shook her back to earth, with a little yelp, and caused her to drop her book onto the damp sand. She picked herself up. “Sorry.” She mumbled her apology, not making eye-contact with the person. It was evident that she didn’t mean it - she had assigned the blame to the other person, already, even though it was her fault for not looking where she was going.

Re: The Sandy Beach
Presley became mesmerized as the waves began to intensify against the rocks since he was last examining them. There was something about nature that fascinated him, which he owes all to his step-dad who was a real science enthusiast. His focus was interrupted as he felt a push against his leg, then seeing a girl trip right in front of them with a yelp. He jumped in surprise as he heard the girl thud right onto the ground. A lighter thump was heard beside him as the girl fell and he saw that it was a small book, half-opened, with its cover facing up. Beautiful Creatures... He's never heard of that book, which surprised him greatly. Books were probably his favorite thing in the whole world. The local librarian in his hometown would have a shelf specially made for him towards the back with books that he specifically chosen to read. "Sorry.." he heard the girl mumble, which shook him out of his thoughts. He was spending all this time staring at the book instead of asking the girl if she was okay. Nice going, Presley.. "..Nah, its fine. You alright? Looks like you had..uh, quite the fall there."

Juliet stumbles onto the beach grumbling and throwing her new shoes, now ruined on the ground. She hastily attempts to fix her hair that was ruined by the wind.

Aveline blinked and looked up at the person, a male, surprised - she had expected him to get angry and yell at her. “Uhm... yeah, I’m fine,” she said, realising he had asked her if she was okay. She flashed him a brief, humourless smile. Not knowing what else to say, she picked up her fallen book and flipped through the scribbled-on pages. After a few moments, she came to the realisation that she hadn’t even introduced herself, yet. Feeling like an idiot, she proceeded to do so.
“My name’s Aveline. Uhm, what’s yours?” the redhead said. She berated herself for repeating “uhm” - it made her sound like she was nervous or something, which she wasn’t - silently. She avoided eye contact, her eyes flickering from the open page of Beautiful Creatures to the large waves, smashing against the rocks. Finally, she decided to rest her gaze on the book and noticed someone had scrawled “EW + LD forever” on the blank top of the page. Rolling her eyes at the scribble, she continued to skim through the page.
ooc: Beautiful Creatures is huge, just saying.

Re: The Sandy Beach
OOC: oops! my bad.
Presley nodded slowly once she told him that she was okay. As long as there was no injuries, he was a-okay. Dealing with situations like that weren't his thing. "I'm Presley..sorta like Elvis Presley..minus the Elvis part." He explained with a short laugh after she introduced himself. Presley soon regretted his words immediately and mentally face-palmed. He didn't realize how stupid he sounded and made a mental note to never mention the Elvis backstory. The last time he mentioned it, it ended up in getting a black eye and a sore neck for weeks.
Presley coughed and flashed a confident smile. "Nice to meet you, Aveline..I see you like books-" He stopped once his eyes caught the scribbled inscriptions throughout the pages.
"Damn..don't people know that novels aren't coloring books?" He thought out loud as he raised his eyebrow in curiosity. From what he saw, the book was huge. This attracted him to more curiosity. Reading huge books meant time, which he spent a lot of time wasting when he could be reading.
"..Just out of curiosity, what's this book..ah.." He squinted his eyes through his rectangular framed glasses to see the title again. "..Beautiful Creatures? Yeah..mind telling me what its about?" He glanced back up at Aveline, his eyes twinkling with interest.

I walked in, and sat down on a bench, putting my cane beside me. I put my hands together and closed my eyes, resting my chin on my finger tips.

Re: The Sandy Beach
I heard someone step into the water, and I opened my eyes. A nice girl with what seemed a dark past had walked into the water. I stood up and walked over to her. "Hello, Sherlock Holmes." I told her. I was rubbish at making friends, but I could always have a go.

"I notice that you might have some secrets to tell." I was about to say something when a firmilar girl rushed in, almost running into me.
"You!" I cried, and ran to hug Aria. "Ohmygods, it's been forever!" I turn to see that Sherlock girl. "You."
"Me Spanish girl?"

"Oh hey Samara!" I hugged her back. I looked back at Sherlock, "I'm not telling you my secrets, their mine." I said, then I looked between the two, "Do you know each other?"
