Jea's Bunk

Jea walked into her cabin for the first time. Looking around, she picked a free bunk closest to the wall. She hung up her ice skates and made her bunk with her favorite light purple sheets. Not having that many belongings, Jea put her bag on the floor and sat down quietly on her bunk. She admired the white and blue of the room, and how it was the perfect temperature, unlike the sun from outside. She peered around the cabin, seeing a bed with some drawings around it. She figured it was the cabin leader's bed. As much as she wanted to admire the drawings, Jea had a feeling if she was caught snooping around it wouldn't be a great start to her camp experience. Heading back to her bunk, she laid down, clutching her favorite bear her dad bought her (she would probably die of embarrassment if anyone saw her with it), and thought about her life back home. Before she knew it, her eyelids were heavy and she was drifting off to sleep.

Yawning, Jea woke up stretching. Bang, her hand hit the bunk on top of hers. Whoops... She thought.

How long have I been sleeping? Carefully getting up, so she doesn't hit anything again, her bare feet padded against the cool floor. Finding the bathroom, she showered, brushed her teeth, combed her hair (the snowflakes still wouldn't come out...well, she figured they were permanent now), and slipped into her favorite light purple tunic and jeans. Walking out of the bathroom, she put a white scarf on and stuck her feet into matching white boots. Pulling a book out of her bag and attaching her sword to her hip (you know, just in case..) she moved outside to the front steps of the cabin. Sitting down, a cold breeze and a few snowflakes passed her, even though it was a nice day out. She smiled a bit. Ah, the magic of her cabin. Looking around outside at kids moving around everywhere, she opened her book and silently started to read.

I come in and notice the cold first. Then I notice a girl at her bunk and say "Hey, what's your name," in a friendly tone.

Looking up surprised at the boy, she closes her book. Then she says quietly "J-Jea..."

OOC: Coolio let's see how this works out. And it's so convenient how you used 'melting' in the chione cabin. Sorry that was just awesome.

Jea smiled genuinely for the first time in ages. "Hi." She didn't really know what else to say, she wasn't used to talking to people. That and she was just speechless. "Wanna sit?" She looks at the spot next to her.

I say with a smile, "Yeah." I sit down and say, "I don't like to leave people I'm introducing myself to in the dark about my past. You especially deserve to know."

She looked at him curiously. "Is your past...bad?" Her curious look turned into more of just a stare. She usually didn't get crushes, mostly because boys didn't look at her much less talk to her. She looked away blushing, which was rare for a Chione girl since blushing requires heat in cheeks.

I say, "Not all of it. There's only one bad thing. That's when I found my mother dead on my way here. Other than that, my life has been okay." I notice her blushing, and know that she likes me too. I say, "I lived a good life. My mother cared for me. She kept me safe. She made sure a did well in school. At school, I met my friend Jack. The only bad thing was what I said before. I don't know who killed her, but if I find out, I won't hold back."

Her eyes widen at the mention of his mother dead. "I-I'm sorry. Well, she seemed nice.." She smiled, trying to lighten the mood. "I don't really have an interesting past.." She told him. "I lived with my dad and we had fun. He was a professional ice skater. Then I had to leave him to come here..." She looked down, missing her dad, even though she'd only been here for no more than a week or two. "Well that's my boring past." She commented quietly. Looking back up, she said, "Oh I forgot to ask, who's your dad?"

Suddenly, still smiling like a goof, Jea looks up, noticing for the first time the girl standing there. Has she been there long? She thought. Not being one to usually start a conversation, she decided to go with, "Hi.."

"Hi!" You already said that! She chastised herself. She really wasn't a people person. "This is Jay." She pointed to the boy sitting next to her.

OOC: He's been not posting or anything for a while, just heads ups..

BIC: "We were just hanging out. I could show you where the Aphrodite cabin is if you'd like." She got up from her bunk.
