A beautiful meadow

She smiled and twirled the flower in her fingers.

"What's your favorite animal?" He asked politely.

She smiled and put her fingers in her mouth making a loud whistle. A bunch of animals come out of the forest. Her pet weasel, skipps ran to her an scrambled up to her shoulder. "I love all animals."

Trevor smiled broadly. "I love weasels. I have a pet mouse named Toxic and a cat named Knicks."

Skipps squeaked happily. "Ya he's my best friend." She kissed skipps head.

"Skipps." She smiled.

Trevor smirked at the name. He heard the scurry of a small animal and turned, but saw nothing. A bright green mouse sat of his head calmly. Trevor frowned, not noticing. "Did you hear something?"

She giggled. "Yep."

"I thought I did, too." Trevor frowned and sighed. The little mouse seemed to smile, staying in its place.

She smiled. "I think you have something on your head."

Trevor reached on top of his head. The mouse jumped onto Trevor's hand and scurried into his lap while he laughed. "Toxic!" Trevor scratched behind his neon green ear.

She smiled brightly. "Hes so cute!"

"Thanks." Trevor smiled, looking happier than he had let Victoria see.

Skipps ran to toxic and sniffed him.

Toxic sniffed at Skipps, then squeaked. Trevor looked at him and raised an eyebrow. "Really? Hm."

Skipps squeaked and crawled back to Victoria. She kissed his head.

Trevor sighed and put Toxic on his head again. Toxic squeaked twice more. "Alright. There's some back at the cabin." Trevor told the mouse.

She looked at him. "When did you guys meet?"

"I was running tests one day. You know, the usual. I had a bunch of mice to test out my experiments on a new neon-based proteins so that scientists would be able to recognize deadly bacteria in the stomach." Trevor played with a blade of grass. "Well, something went wrong with my first test subject. He began to glow all over. The mouse seemed to have superior intelligence. I taught him how to communicate and named him Toxic. We've been buddies ever since."

She smiled brightly. "Wow, that's a great story."

"Thanks." Trevor smiled.

Skipps ran around them squeaking.
