Rachel White's bunk

I walk in and set my stuff on the bed. Flopping down on the bed, I pull out my book and read.

My vision starts to fuzz as I start to drift off to sleep.

I wake up and changed into a black T-shirt and skinny jeans. After putting on my boots, I ran out of the cabin.

Wanders in, so bored, wishing she had something to do.

She flops down on her bed, bored and tired. After laying there for a few minutes, she gets up and changes into some pjs. Flopping back down on the bed, she pulls out a book and reads for a while.

Danny walks over "Hi i'm Danny i'm kinda new here so your my sister?"

Rachel looks up and sees the boy called Danny. " Yeah. I guess. I'm Rachel." she said, putting down her book and holding out her hand.

Shakes her hand "What are you reading and did you hear me singing?"He looks embarrassed.

"Yeah. I heard you. You were great." She looks down at her book. "The book is nothing special really. It's a series called Soul Screamers by Rachel Vincent. It was my aunt's favorite."

"looks like a good book,What's going on in it?"

"A demon took a banshee's dad. It's good, if you like the paranormal." she blushes. "That's one of my hobbies. Paranormal stuff. You know, ghost, vampires, werewolves, that kind of thing."

"Sounds interesting and i wasn't good at all the best song i ever wrote was mean about bullies at my school.Wanna hear it?"

She laughs. "Sure, why not. I love music of all kinds, even if it's silly."

He takes out his guitar and starts singing

She listens to the as he sings. When it's over, she claps and laughs. "That has to be the best song about mean people I have ever heard."

"Thanks i worked hard on it but it made me popular and i hated it but no one would leave me alone i got a girlfriend and well i kissed a monster."

"That's... weird. I'm not much of an attention person either." she laughs. "Guess I shouldn't of signed up for the talent show last year. Most embarrassing memory I have."

"Yeah i have a bunch of people looking for me I'm never leaving i have no choice either Monsters killed my mom."

"I'm sorry. That sucks. My mom tried to trap me in a juvenile detention center. That's when I ran away and ended up here."

"Do you think dad would be a jerk?"

She thinks for a moment. Then shakes her head. "No. Anyone who can write music, and lousy poems can't be that bad. Everyone else says he's nice." They also say he's annoying at times, she thinks.

"How come he never came back though?I never saw him once."

She snorts. "Beats me. I've never met him."

"I also have other songs but you probably want to get back to reading don't you?"

She shrugs and leans back. "Doesn't matter to me. I read a lot anyway."
