    A poem Empty A poem

Post by Holly 5/17/2013, 12:04 pm

A corpse everyone has in their closet.
I know cause I have seen them.
    Bloody, gory, ripped to shreds?
It doesn't matter, everyone has one.
    Fallen comrades they once were.
    Or family you long hated.
The blood drips from your hands.
Sin, sin, sin, your covered in it.
    The sound of the dead.
    The smell of the dead.
    You can't handle it?
    So be it.

    A corpse you will be.
    By my skinless hand.
It's red muscle groping at your face.
It's white bones tearing though your eyes.
    Blood....blood.
    Lots of blood from you.
Tasty blood, pouring from your face.
A stab to the gut, a slash to the chest.
The organs pouring out, the organs squashing.
The floor covered now, a corpse now.
    Into the closet, blood dripping.
No one knows the corpse in my closet.
    Is you.

    Wow.
    That was dark.
    But, I liked it.
I never realised I was a corpse in your closest... Thanks for letting me know :)
But no seriously, that was actually a really good poem.

Death waits for you, it waits for me
No one can outrun it, no one can bargain it
Death stands waiting, watching, ready to kill
By means of noose, chair, blade or poison
    You will be next

    Blood splatters, gore spread.
Water tainted crimson with your insides
A laughing skull on a rock
    Picked clean by birds
The waves crash, the blood splash
Muscle torn, bone crush. Organs spill.

    Death comes slow or quick
Pain or not, you will die.
    Death will come for you.
    Because you are.
    Next.

    Apocalypse comes
    Collision, fire, or drought
    The end of the world

    Death comes for us all
    Quick, Torturous, or Painless
    Who will be the next?

    Is it love or lust?
When a boy looks at a girl?
    Unpredictable

    Is murder funny?
    The smile, the bloodstained weapon
    The red splashing blood.

    Only time will tell

Light shines brightly down upon thee
Sleeping under the gentle branches of a tree
The wind rustles the hair of the sleeping girl
Lying next to you in peace
Is she a friend? Or more?
    Only time will tell

    With the charm of Aphrodite,
    The smell of Solomon's cedar,
You cannot take your eyes off of her.
You want to kiss her, but you can't
    Only time will tell

    California Girl

California girl, you know what you do
You tease, you play, you keep them on edge
I follow, in my own quest for you
The bright sun, the cool waves, all in your advantage

You seem to be brilliant, an offspring of beauty
One such as the lost Lenore, or the radiant Helen
The sea foam only enhanced the effects upon my mind of your greatness
It is as if the goddess of love has shined her powers upon you, as I would have believed her to do so

Tell me O' woman of amazement,
What do I have to do?
To be with a woman of your splendor
Or is it to great for a heart to pay?

    ---

    The greatest Sacrifice

A forgotten grave rests in the many of Arlington.
A fallen of the nation he protected.
No one knows him, no one sees him no more.
He rests silently six feet under, in his wooden bed.
He was only a nineteen, when he took the bullet.
Protecting his country in 1916, his friends at his sides.

The trenches were damp, the shells loud and explosive.
Mice and Rats ran numerously, biting the men and stealing the rations.
The barbed wire, the dead, the thought of the next.

O' how many men crossed that Plutonian shore in a single day?
The fields of France once dug up and stained with the fallen,
Now are green again, not a scar of earth to show the pain.
    Thousands came, thousands died,
Did you really think it was the war to end wars?

You rest under the white cross, a reminder of your sacrifice.
Though your name is not known, nor your history I sit by your grave.
To thank you for your service, your duty repaid.
A duty I could never do myself, not in the age we are in.
An age where a sacrifice as valuable as yours is not to be compared with now.

You gave up a life, a family and a future to let yourself go.
You went overseas, France as I think.
France is pretty now, but seeing your grave...
Brings back the horror of 1916,
    When you were only nineteen.

Thanks to you and your brothers, our world is still here,
Not in a shape to say good, but still here.
Thank you, for your sacrifice young man.
One I could never repay you for, in a thousand lifetimes.

Tell me, did they beat the drum slowly?
Did they play the death march as the lowered you into the earth?
I hope you died quick and painless,
For you have the greatest sacrifice.

~Dedicated to all the unknown graves in Arlington national Cemetery, and I thank them for their sacrifices.

    They are mostly dark-themed...
BUT that's the unique factor of you, Zach! You make awesome dark poems.
    Great job!! I like them.

    To the maiden
Fair maiden, that from the fairest essence of Lenore,
Thy brilliance of all Helen, of Troy!
How many thought of radiance it does invoke in thee mind!
How many scenes of departed, leaves me in sorrow!
    What thoughts endow to imagination!
How many visions of your beauty invoke upon my dreams!

Ye maiden, look upon my soul for gratitude.
The gratitude and awe I hold for you.
Skin so perfect and hair so vibrant, it is a vision of Aphrodite in mortal!
Your features etched upon my mind as a carver etched into wood.

A clever addiction you entice upon me, capturing my movements and thoughts to glimpse at you, in any way I may!
Thou radiance is outstanding, Ye charm is breathtaking.
A queen above women, a goddess in disguise as a being.
Why art thou here? I ask to thee.
    ---

    Suicide...homicide
The dark thoughts here at last
Do I listen? Do I turn?
Unknown is my fate behind such door.

I am a bad person, yet a good one too
Tell me now, what I should happen to do?
