It was still pretty early in the afternoon that sunny day and yet here Avery Kennedy was lazing around inside the Athena cabin on her bunk. She still hadn't really wanted to explore the rest of camp even though most of her half siblings urged her to do so saying that she would enjoy the stuff they had there at camp if only she just let herself be open to it. But she was determined not to get attached to anything here a Camp Half Blood. Avery was determined to leave here and go back to her father sooner rather then later and so when that time came she wouldn't have to try and say goodbye to the things that she had gotten used to here or the people she had gotten to know. Avery had become very stubborn on this fact and it made her focus on the tasks at hand, like training and making sure she was ready to fight if she needed to.

Avery put the worn paper bookmark firmly in between the pages of the leather bound version of The Odyssey that her father had given her many years ago to keep her place. She had read the work by Homer a numerous amount of times but she never seemed to get bored of the story which was full of action and adventure as well as the Greek gods which was always a point of interest for her. She set down the book onto her neatly made bed and stood up to stretch out, lying around all day made her feel a little stiff. The girl who stood at about 5'9" reached her long arms in the air and then leaned over to the left then the right before dropping her arms to her side once again letting them slap against her thighs. She then pulled the ponytail holder that was holding in place the messy low ponytail in place and quickly threw it up into a high and messy bun. She then threw a few bobby pins to catch any flyaway bangs and make them stay in place.

After examining the leather bound book that now lied firmly on her covers she wondered if she should continue reading or go outside for a little fresh air. Although she had tried her best not to explore too much she was getting a case of cabin fever and she could feel herself getting slightly antsy. Maybe she would use that as her excuse to go out a spar or train with her dagger. She was still undecided though on what exactly she was going to do so instead of choosing she walked to the door of the cabin and stared outside. Part of her longed to go out and enjoy what was in front of her, but the other more determined half reminded her of her father back home and she again went back to being stubborn about her stance on the camp. She did let out a little sigh though as her grey eyes scanned the sights in front of her and the people making their way to the different areas around camp. She found herself mesmerized a little by everything as she got lost in the world around her.
