He hated it when that happened. He groaned in frustration and plopped down on the first step, resting his arms lazily on his knees. He had a chance to talk to someone and get to know them even better (besides the fact it was taken place in the bathroom) but failed when he told Harry that he had something to do. Nice going, Kostas. Great way to start meeting new friends..again. He leaned back on the step behind him and just watched campers come in and out of the Courtyard, as if they had nothing to do either.

Helen strutted out of the Apollo cabin. It was the middle of the summer, but she wore designer jeans and a thin satin scarf. "Sometimes you've gotta strive for fashion." is what she told one of her sisters earlier that morning. That's what Alana had taught her, and what Alana says is right. Always.
Helen noticed a boy sitting down in the courtyard. He was cute, so she had a chance with him. The blonde girl sat next to him "Hi." she said seductively.

Kostas must of been in zoned out world or something because the presence of a blonde girl sitting next to him made him jump a bit in surprise. He looked at her, his eyebrows still raised in surprise, as she spoke to him. Oh gods.. He knows that tone of voice. He's heard it plenty of times before. This amused him, however. She was a pretty girl, no lie, but he did find her outfit to be a bit odd in the summer. "..Uhm, hey there. How's it going?" He asked her casually, a small and friendly smile curling on his lips.

"Good." Helen smiled and brushed back her hair from her face. "And how are you, gorgeous?"
Immediately Helen was analyzing if that was a good choice or not. On the hunky heartthrob kind of guys she used that, but this guy was... smaller, and he didn't go for her right away. She may be addicted to her looks, but was on honor roll at school. This girl wasn't just a pretty face.

Helen smiled slightly. "I'm- I'm Helen." she said quietly. Helen's defenses were down, and she couldn't get them back up. She felt nervous around this guy, and she couldn't bring herself to turn her flirting powers up to high. Alana had taught her always to keep her guard up, but when it was down- red alert.
Helen turned on her smile and looked at Kostas in the eye. "Who's your god parent?"

"Apollo." Helen replied. God of strength, huh? Maybe this guy was a heartthrob. No. Helen knew she shouldn't judge by parents. Or looks, either. Meeting someone new always troubled Helen. She couldn't tell if they were good or bad. Whether she could trust them or not.
Though probably Helen could trust Kostas. Possibly. Helen couldn't tell. Maybe the remade Helen was fearless and sexy and crap but the original copy was, well, a nerd.
Helen had grown up in a type of place very much like the girly books tweens tend to read, ones with popular girls and mean girls and whatever. Helen had been the nerd up until eight grade. That was when she was "transformed" into the person she was now.
Helen wished she could go back in time. Be the nerd again. To tell you the truth, it wasn't that bad. She wished her stupid, stupid mother hadn't married the George guy. Then Alana wouldn't have been there to ruin Helen's life.
It had passed in Helen's mind to try and forget Alana's cruel words. But it was like they were branded into her brain. No matter how many times she tried, she couldn't get them out.
Things were getting awkward. Helen smiled and left.
