by daddeme 7/22/2013, 2:26 pmBeing nocturnal caused Blaine King, son of the Egyptian moon god Khonsu, to do what normal people did in the morning at night, or evening. He had just waken up a half hour ago after a 6 AM-6 PM slumber and thought that he should go for a jog before breakfast. It was nice and quiet out, just the way Blaine liked it. The young man loved to jog pass the beach at this time because it meant most of the demigods were heading to their cabins before the harpies came out. Quiet, quiet days like these always calmed him down.

Jase walked onto the beach in his sweats and work out tank. He'd been neglecting his workout schedule the past few weeks and he could feel his body suffering from it. Jase tossed his bag off his shoulder and sat down on the sand to tie his shoes. The son of Aphrodite didn't like to let his mom define him. Well all of his brothers were back in their cabin talking about why you can't wear cyan shorts on Tuesday, or whatever, Jase was out running miles. He was buffer than his brothers, as would be expected. Jase jumped up and went right into stretching.

Ooc: See, I was thinking about finding a new faceclaim for Blaine because young Corbin Bleu gifs are just so hard to find these days.

Blaine had slowed his jog down to a stop to admire a sandstone structure that must have formed over the years. It was so smooth a naturally beautiful...Blaine reached into his gym bag and pulled out two cans of spray paint: one black, one silver. He shook the cans up and examined the canvas. "What we have here is a canvas without any decoration." He whispered in his subtle Djibouti accent with a wide, sneaky smile.

ooc: Jase's face claim used to Alexander Ludwig and there are an unexpectedly small number of gifs so I changed it.
After his extensive stretching routine, Jase put in his headphones and began a jog down the beach. Jase had learned his favorite place to jog was at the beach, because it reminded him of his summer home. Most of Jase's summers had been spent on the beaches of California. During the year, he lived with his family in New Mexico, but in the summer him and his sister spent their time with their grandma. Jase had lost himself in thoughts, when he realized he had run a few miles. When he came to himself, he saw another guy on the beach. He seemed like he was about the same age as him. The boy was holding paint cans. Jase smiled. The kid looked interesting. He took out his headphones and began to walk towards him.

"...But can you paint with all the colors of the wind?" Blaine mumbled under his breath as he began to paint a masterpiece. He danced a little as her painted, blending the colors here and there to create a 3-dimensional effect. He stepped back to admire his unfinished project and smiled, for it seemed wonderful already. The young man went back into his gym bag to put the two cans away and retrieve a dark blue one. He highlighted some areas, added a gentle brush of yellow to make it seem like the words were shining, then stepped back again. "CHB" was spelled out in brilliant graffiti letters.

Jase stood behind the boy for a while just admiring. It was kind of a cliche muse, in Jase's opinion, but the boy pulled it off better than Jase would have been able to. It was good. Real good. You just didn't see good vandilization anymore. Jase started to slow clap when he finished. He didn't want to freak him out, but that didn't seem possible, so he went all out. "Not bad, not bad at all." Jase smiled and offered the boy his hand.

Blaine took pride in all of his art around camp, but this one was impressive.
He wasn't surprised to hear the clapping of hands behind him. When the compliment was received,
Blaine turned around to thank the giver. "Thanks, thanks. It's more of a hobby nowadays."
Blaine shook the boy's hand. "Blaine King."

Jase shook his hand. "Jase Waters." Jase walked up to his graffiti and looked at it. "It's kind of funny that everyone here is a bunch of pansies." He pointed to the graffiti. "Most people here would be honestly afraid of doing something like that. Afraid of getting in trouble, or someone not liking it. It's he number one thing I hate about here." That was mostly true, at least.

Blaine shrugged and put his cans away. He pulled out a small rag and
wiped his hands free of some of the paint, then slung the bag over his
shoulder. "I hate that so much. No one has courage. I say
that if you have the thought of rebellion, get it over with before it's too late.
I, for instance," He paused to gesture to himself with a slow spin.
"Am like a sneeze. I can't be contained, you see?"

Jase shook his head and laughed a little. He hadn't met any guys at camp who weren't totally lame. It didn't help that he was forced to talk to all the Aphrodite boys, since they were his brothers. "I know what that feels like. So, who's your god parent?" Great, if I have to answer that question, I'm going to sound like pansy.

Blaine smiled some at the laughter and shrugged. It was weird to
actually hear someone with some sense around here; someone who
actually listened to Blaine during his rants. Even with Jo, he sometimes
felt like he was boring her to death with his endless babble. This dude?
Well, for one, he would be able to talk about his next protest and guy
things. Are you saying that it is odd for Blaine to automatically judge someone
as so? Well, one of his fatal flaws is being overly trustworthy, you see?
"Khonsu. I'm one of the few Egyptians running around here. And you?"
He asked with his arms crossed over his chest.

Of course, he has a cool parent. Lucky guy. Jase sighed and rolled his eyes. "I'm going to sound like a pansy when I say this." Jase ran his hand over his eyes and mumbled, "Aphrodite." Jase didn't really wait to see the reaction the boy had, because he was pretty much sure he knew what it would be. "Trust me, I'm not going to go on about what color would look better with your skin tone or the importance of proper skin care or anything, because, honestly, I couldn't care less." Jase knew these things, of course, because he was a son of Aphrodite, but that didn't mean he cared about them.

Blaine's eyebrows shot up and he was forced to hold in a snicker. The smile, however,
managed to creep back onto his face. "That does, indeed, make you sound
like a pansy." The young man agreed with a nod. His left running shoe kicked at
the dirt while he leaned against an unpainted section of rock. "Don't worry,
I won't broadcast it for two reasons. 1) If you are a pansy, I don't feel like having to deal
with the crying. 2) If you aren't, then you probably won't hesitate to beat me up."
Blaine shrugged. "And come to think of it, I think I'm more of a winter." He joked.

Jase put his face in his hands. "You don't understand how bad it sucks being a son of Aphrodite. I don't care, but I can tell you that you're wrong. More summer/ fall, to be honest." Jase rolled his eyes. "You don't know what it's like to feel a color until you live in the Aphrodite cabin. It feels pink. Everyday they color organize my clothes, and every night I mess them up again. Jase leaned back on the rocks behind him.
After a while Jase left.

After a while of talking with Jase, Blaine waved at him as he left and jogged on his way himself. The night was still young, so why not attend a protest rally?
