Eliza's bunk

I walked in , holding Marcus' hand . A couple of my siblings looked up as we went through the library, but quickly looked back down and went back to their reading. I sat down on my bunk and grinned up at him "well here we are!"

I smiled and sat down next to her."Nice place"

"Yeah" i said "a lot better than where I came from" I continued.

"Where was that?"I asked and wrapped my arm around her shoulders in a hug,nuzzling her hair as I pulled her closer to me

"I'm from Atlanta" I said "the place was great, I had loads to do... But my dad was an alcoholic and he flew off into rages all the time .. And he beat me.. A lot" I gulped back tears and pulled his arm tighter around me

I sighed and rested my chin on her head holding her tightly but gently against me."I'm sorry,little girl"

"It's okay" I said "I have a family here now " I kissed him softly on his forehead

"Still...I'm sorry"I mumbled and nuzzled her hair again

"What was your life like before camp half blood " I asked

"It was good until my mom got to that hospital"I replied with a small smile

"Is she okay" I said concerned for Marcus . I don't want anything bad to have happened to him

"She should be.I asked dad to do something,get her a better place..."I replied and messed her hair a little with a sad smile

"Oh.." I said thinking about if there was anything I could say to make it better "are you here all year round then ?" I rested my head on his shoulder

I smiled a little more and kissed the top of her head."Yes.I still own the house but there was never a reason to go back"

"I stay too" I replied looking into Marcus' eyes "I dread to think what would happen to me if I went home. I like to think that my only parent is Athena now" I kissed him back on his neck

I blushed and ran my hand through her hair."Your home is here now"I murmured

"Yeah you're right it is" I replied feeling happier "and I've got you here, I don't need anyone else !" I said affectionately enjoying his attentions

"You just met me!Unless....Were you stalking me,miss Eliza?"I laughed and gathered her hair in my palms and tied them with a hair tie up in a ponytail

"No it's just" I took a deep breath hoping he wouldn't think I was a freak "I haven't really ever had many friends here. I'm too busy trying to be perfect and the best, that I push people away. So I've decided to change. You, Marcus are the first person who's ever tried to get to know me for just me. And I love you for that" I explained , carefully choosing my words

"You can't love me yet.And,you don't need to be the best,you are great the way you are"I told her and kissed behind her ear

"I'm not saying that I love you , not yet anyway" I laughed "I just love the fact that you're the first person who's believed in me!" I returned his kiss but instead of behind the ear , I kissed him softly on the lips.

I smiled against her lips and carefully held her face in my hands as I returned the kiss

When we had both moved away , I said to Marcus "wait, so... Am I your girlfriend now ?!"

"I wasn't expecting one so soon...But,if you are willing to stand me for a while,then sure!"I joked

"Hhaha yeah sure, I guess I will have to put up with you!" I joked back at Marcus
