The day started out like it had every other day. The daughter of Morpheus who was known simply as Lucy got up from her bunk, though there was not much waking that she needed to do. It was another restless night and as the rest of her half siblings slept peacefully in their bunks Lucy just lied on her's wide awake and mind restlessly thinking of things. Her body told her it was time to rest but her mind both unwilling to give in to sleep and not wanting to see the nightmarish images that usually plagued her night after night resisted the call of sleep.
After swinging her legs around the side of her bed she planted her feet and stood up. Lucy was quick as she dressed herself in the standard orange Camp Halfblood shirt and a pair of faded jean shorts. She brushed her naturally straight blonde hair and left it down as she liked the way she looked when it was hanging long down her back as opposed to up in a ponytail or something. Lucy's bed was messily made and in a flash she was off, to do what exactly she wasn't sure. Guess just not be stuck in her cabin was her main goal, plus she enjoyed walking around the camp as if she was rediscovering certain places. Lucy knew camp like the back of her hand but she still loved finding new and Iinteresting places that had remained hidden to her.
The sun was up on that warm August morning and the warm summer breeze danced around the tops of the grass making each blade move as if it was part of some musical number. Even though it was only about 9 or so in the morning the warmth of the day already started to make itself known. Lucy was glad right then that she decided to wear a pair of shorts instead of some sort of long pair of pants. The fields didn't provide much cover or much areas of shade and so you could feel the bright sun hit against your skin, warming you up easily on a day such as this.
Lucy tilted her face up towards the bright sun rays and closed her eyes as she felt the warmth hit against her pale skin. It was, such a lovely day for a walk, but as the warmth surrounded her it was like her body finally realized just how tired it was. Her lack of sleep started to hit her as she brought her hand up to cover a small yawn that escaped from her lips. A small stretch later and she was back on her way walking, moving towards an unknown goal. It didn't take long though to find a place she decided to make her resting area, a clearing that seemed to be nice and away from the numerous demigods who were also spending their time in the fields that day, growing strawberries or grapes with their powers or just enjoying the company of their friends.
Lucy sat down against the blades of grass, feeling it against her palms as she brushed her fingers over the surface, catching a few inbetween her fingers and now that she was closer to the grapevines and strawberry plants she could smell the sweet fragrance of the fruits in the air. "Magnifique." Lucy quietly said to herself as she leaned back and laid against the grass, feeling it poke against her neck and exposed arms. A smile plastered on her face as her eyes were closed and her arms were folded behaind her head as they cradled it in place. She was quite enjoying the setting of the day already.
