Well here goes nothing..

So uh, first of all I want to say, I'm not great at poetry I don't get concepts of it sometimes but I just felt like writing something, I'm not asking for critic so we could refrain from it, I just, I dunno, I feel like this just tells a good story more than anything, in a poem type format, you know?

Illusions

They wanted the fabricated lies
and the warmth it held
Lies topple over lies

They want you to see what they want
they want you to feel what they want
they want you to be what they want

No such thing as being yourself these days
You're made up of nothing more than an illusion
The illusion you sought so hard not to be

you don't fit the mold?
Well you're out no use for you
you don't have the same thoughts?
Well you're out no use for you either

You aren't strong enough for them
You aren't good enough for them
you are too different so you try

Try again and again
you want to fit that mold
you want to be an illusion of lies
You want them to want you
But they wont want you

you have an opinion
you have a backbone
you have a voice
they want power
they want control
they want everything
everything but you

you aren't willing to bend at their will
you aren't going to back down

try and try again
you fail time after retched time
it's not fair

but it's how life goes
only the strong survive in this world
you fall to them
you're lost to the world
your soul is theirs
and you are their illusion

I wrote this myself.. be weird if someone else wrote exactly what I have o_O Also I wasn't going for proper grammar or any of the sorts either, was just something fun I wanted to do.
