"Uhm, ok." I took the map out of his hand and examined it. "Wow you got these things all over the place!" I never thought someone could hide so many coolers!

"yeah well i didn't hide all of them.some of them i found and just put coke in"logan i said as he started melting his can into another dagger

"You really like doing that don't you?" I began to fidget, tapping my fingers on my lap, twirling my hair. This kid was boring. "My mom is kinda like the Egyptian Hera. Goddess of mothers, childbirth, marriage, et-cetera." I said trying to make conversation.

"Cool. My mother is Hestia goddess of the home"logan said then added""have you ever met your mother"

"No. That's why my dad kept visiting Egypt. He was trying to find Hathor." I twirled a finger in my dark brown hair. "Why? Have you ever met yours?"

"No, but i hope to since the solstice is coming on the 21 of december"logan said as he put his newest dagger in his pocket and said"Do the Egyptians have a day when you can meet your god parent"?

"Wep-renpet, which you would call New Years. We still celebrate the solstices, but to a lesser extent." I thought about my mom. "We don't really meet them, they just send gifts, like sneakers and magic, stuff, I guess." I felt my face get hot.

"Oh"logan said a little stunned"Well how do the gods get the gifts do they like have a egyptian hermes"logan asked as he started poking the fire with a wet stick

"No, they deliver them personally." I honestly didn't know, but neither did Logan. "So, what are you doing for Christmas?" I say, not knowing what to say.

"i never really celebrated christmas i only celebrated the solstice so i've never had christmas but i heard that an old fat dude is suposeably stalking all children so christmas is wierd in my opinion"logan said recalling the horrible tale of the old fat stalker obsessed with children

"Wow. I never thought of it like that. It does sound creepy if you say it that way." I smile and feel awkward.

"well thats just my opinion everyones got there own"logan saaid as he laughed a little

I looked at my bare feet, caked in sand. "Oh. Ok. That's true. So, what's happening in life right now?" I glance up at him, then look at my small hands, covered with dirt and sand.

"What do you mean?"logan asked as he put some brranches in the camp fire

"Just, hows it going? What's up? Et cetera." I feel awkward, and try not to blush.

"well not much i just found out that psy:the guy who made gangnam style was a child of hectate"logan said then laighed a bit

"That's surprising. Harry Houdini was a Hecate kid too. Same with David Blane. Real magic. Not crappy stage stuff." Turns out there's a lot of famous people who are demigods.

"is there any famous people who were children of egyptian god"logan asked alecander remembering the story of alexander the great then saying"is there a egyptian zues"

"Well, most of the Egyptian pharaohs were descendants of the gods." I rubbed my hands together and stared at nothing in particular, trying to think of modern demigods. Nothing was coming to me. "Yeah, there's Ra. He doesn't have demigod kids though."

"Isn't Ra the god of the sun"?logan asked starting to get confused"I heard some kids over near the egyptian bunks saying something about some secret name and some flying boat"?

"Yes, but he's also the King of the gods." My mind wandered off, and I didn't hear what he said. "Hm? Oh, I don't know. You're the first person who would talk to me." Flying boats and secret names? Sounds like something out of a fantasy book.

"Yeah that's what i thought"logan said as he started wondering what mount olympus must look like then added "How do you know Hathors your god parent? Do the Egyptians claim there children like the greeks"?
