Dez walks in to store, hand in hand with Skylar. The displays were all ordered with beautiful pieces of fine jewellery all around, and the attendants all looked rather posh.

"Well, here we are, time to choose," he looked and smiled at his one and only girl.

Skylar was so excited "Something purple and black of course." She smiled at her fiancée."Me first then you." Skylar kissed him full of love and content.

Skylar walked up to the counter and looked at all the lovely rings. She wasn't seeing anything quite right until her eyes scanned over the perfect ring. "That one." The ring was a silver band with an amythest as the center piece in a princess cut with small obsidian gems lining the sides. "It's perfect." She smiled at Dez.

"Then," he said, coming up from behind, wrapping his arms around Sky and putting his head over her shoulder. "Its yours. We'll take that one please," he pointed to it for an attendant. "And one more..." Dez started to look around himself.

"Thank you Dez." she cooed happily planting a light kiss on his lips. "I'm paying for yours love, and we should get them engraved too!" Skylar was so over joyed, she almost looked like a different person these days.

Dez turned happily to Skylar for a moment, and said with a grin;

"You really ought to stop reading my mind, babe," he spoke lovingly, before turning back to the rings, and finding one he thought suited him. "It was silver, but with a dark blue sapphire in the top. Simply, yet the way the stone was carved spoke volumes, and he thought it would complement him well. "I think I've chosen," he spoke happily, pointing it out to his fiancee.

Around thirty minutes later the attendant came out with their rings. Skylar paid for her fiancee's ring, and thanked the woman. Skylar couldn't wait to wear her ring with pride, finally Skylar had become truly happy.

Skylar slid his ring onto Dez's finger as well, tears welling in her eyes as she nodded "Yes we are, we're getting married." Skylar touched her right hand to her lips as she admired her ring "It's gorgeous." Skylar looked into her soul mates eyes.

Dez suddenly felt complete as he became the wearer of his engagement ring, symbolizing the new life he had now, his complete life. Nothing else mattered but him, her, and their friends now.

Skylar kissed Dez passionately, not in a sultry way this time but with a contentedness with their new life together, kindling their love into a burning fire with one kiss. The rest of their life would be like this, full of love and happiness. There would be obstacles along the way but they would over come them together.

That moment, in that jewelry store, instantly became the best moment in Dez's life so far. Almost everything before Skylar became mediocre compared to this, and now the door had been opened to the happiest marriage that he could have, only with this girl. It lasted forever, and it meant everything to him.

"What do you say we go back to our friends now?" he smiled the smile of a million happy men.

Dez didn't say anything, but grinned handsomely and did as she suggested, sweeping her off of her feet and proceeding to walk out of the shop with her. One final kiss, and they were gone, back to camp they went.
