The cliffs
Alice walked over to the edge looking out at the sky while she waited for Ethan to catch up.

Re: The cliffs
Ethan sauntered in, bow and quiver round his back, along with dagger and throwing knives around his waist, having picked them up from his bunk on the way.
"Damn does always look nice here.

Re: The cliffs
"Yeah pretty much, it's the best view in camp." Alice smiled to herself as she stared at the sun setting.

Re: The cliffs
"Wellll, night dad..." Ethan muttered to himself. He respected his father he really did, seemed like a cool guy. But... he'd never properly met him, and hadn't even really had a father figure all his life. His Mum and his mates brought him up, and he wished he knew Apollo. Wished he could hang out with him a bit.

Re: The cliffs
"You know it's the solstice still right? We could see him...Apollo." Alice had over heard Ethan muttering to himself and wanted to do something nice for him.
"We could go now if you'd like." she suggested.

Re: The cliffs
"He's a god. Even with the solstice, he probably ain't got time for me... even so, not today," Ethan shook his head, before looking as upbeat as usual when he turned back towards Alice. "Besides, I thought we were looking for some ass to kick," he laughed.

Re: The cliffs
Robin walked his way along the long of the beach, sticking close to the cliffs and admiring their structure. The camp really was pretty during the evenings. After a while of walking, he caught sight of two campers, a boy and a girl, likely on a romantic date of some kind.
"Heeheehee, this should be fun," he chuckled with childish glee, slowly approaching the other two.

Re: The cliffs
"He has time trust me. I have to see my dad too so it's no trouble." Alice smiled at him.
She chuckled at Ethan's comment "Yeah that's true, if we find a reason to. If not let's head to Mount Olympus." Alice suggested.

"Perhaps," he winked at her taking his bow out and laying a hand on an arrow in his quiver. "Here's hoping the guy coming over here gives us a reason.

Re: The cliffs
Robin noticed that he had been spotted, and put on his most convincing beaming smile. He ran up to the group and waved happily.
"Hello there!" he greeted, "You two look like you're having fun, and I was hoping I could join in? Do either of you like games?"

"Ugh great another pestering camper." Alice rolled her eyes. "Good spot though Ethan." she was impressed he picked that up before she did.
"Not really dude but thanks anyway." Alice replied politely.

Re: The cliffs
"Depends," Ethan pondered sarcastically, slowly turning around, arrow notched in the bow. "Does it involve shooting something? Orrr..." he raised an eyebrow. "Someone?"

Re: The cliffs
"You sure?" Robin questioned, still smiling.
"I assure you that there's nothing better than an enjoyable game in the evening!" Robin then turned to face Ethan's personal question.
"No, there will be no shooting things. BUT, there WILL be a prize for the winner!"

Re: The cliffs
Ethan didn't feel too good about this kid. Something didn't feel right. He was... well, weird.
"Okay, dude, just tell us what the game is before I shove one of these arrows up your a**," the son of Apollo smiled at him

Re: The cliffs
Alice crossed her arms and glared at the kid who was way too pushy. "Something doesn't feel right here.."
She snickered at Ethan's comment, preferring his idea to the nerdy kids.

Re: The cliffs
Robin smirked.
"Well, if I told you now, where would be the fun in that?! But, if you MUST know, its a harmless game of chance and fun! I've got glowing reviews from the people who have played the game in the past!"

Re: The cliffs
"Well then!" Robin cheered, his smile slightly warping into something more twisted.
"Allow me to show you. Welcome to the game area!" Robin brought out a largeish clock from his pack and attached it onto the nearby rock face, also taking out a series of metal pegs and embedding them into the rock face around him with a hammer from his pack. He then took out a series of rotten eggs attached to long lengths of string. He took all the strings and twisted them all together, before attaching the ends of the string to the ground before the cliff. With the other ends, the ends with the eggs, he strung the strings around the clock, before splitting off into the strings again, hanging the eggs from their strings around the pegs around the face (if this is complex, Ill explain in a moment). Robin then turned to face Ethan.
"So here is the game! You can see that the strings are strung near the clock and its hands, well this is the game! Each string is connected to one of these eggs you see dangling from the cliff, and each string passes the face of this clock! Here's how it works; as the hands of the clock move onwards, they will cut at the strings holding the eggs in place, causing them to fall. However, as the strings are twisted together, which egg will be caused to fall is random every time. So we shall take it in turns to stand under an egg, and the person who gets a facefull of rotten egg is the loser! And just in case you’re thinking about it, you can’t protect yourself from the falling egg by putting a hand over your head, you must let it fall. The game starts when the clock hits the hour, cutting the first string. And for your convenience, I'd suggest not cheating or trying to stop the game prematurely, its no fun when they do that..." Robin finished, a malicious smirk crossing his face briefly.
"But the winner of the game will get this!" Robin brought out his medallion from his pocket, a present from Loki, his father.
"Let me show you how this works," he said, activating its power. Instantly, he transformed into a slightly taller clone of Alice, with different coloured clothes and green eyes, and wider hips and shorter hair.
"This little number allows its user to transform into any human shape! The copy is a little imperfect, but boy, ain't this neato?!" After a few seconds, Robin transformed back into his normal self.
"Whaddya say? Winner of this game gets a mystical artifact from Loki himself?"

Re: The cliffs
Ethan almost jumped out of his skin. The game itself... well it wasn't too understand, but its what the boy was willing to give up that shocked him. Okay, Ethan wasn't too smart, but he knew about how the gods worked, and how family worked. An artifact from a god was only ever really given to one of their children, and unless this guy stole it from someone it meant he was a son of Loki. A child of Loki playing games of chance? Made sense. But it wasn't a good sign. This wasn't a game of chance, not by a long shot. He wouldn't risk a gift from his father if he wasn't sure he was going to win.
Inside, he knew he should back down, but part of him would love to rip that arrogant son a b*tch's smile of his face. Somehow anyway.
Ethan put on a confident face, turning towards Alice, before looking back at the boy. "Alright, I'm game."

Re: The cliffs
"I wouldn't..." before she could convince Ethan otherwise he had already accepted. "Great...just great..." Alice face palmed. "This isn't going to go well."
She decided to sit down and see how this would turn out. "One of my best friends is a son of Loki, you're pretty screwed Ethan."

Re: The cliffs
"Great!" Robin chuckled, flinging his hands out to his side.
"Game start!" All at once, the air around the cliff face and the two players shimmered slightly, before becoming inconspicuous again. He turned to Alice.
"Also, please don't try to interfere with this game, things get really messy when that happens, and I'm not just talking about the eggs!" Robin laughed, before turning back to Ethan.
"Anyway, to show you how its done, I'll make the first move," he spoke, before moving off to stand under an egg. He then reached out his hand to the right. As he did, the clock struck the hour, and the first egg fell, whereupon it fell into Robin's grip. He fiddled with the egg in his hands for a moment, before dropping the egg onto the floor, where it exploded with a disgusting smell. Robin beckoned to the egg still intact above his head.
"Your move."

Re: The cliffs
A little voice in his head made sure to let Ethan know he was screwed. But, calmly, he went and stood under an egg on the other side of the boy.
"So what's your name? You do this for a living?" He asked, containing the spout of laughter inside at thinking about that. He didn't have to contain it for long, as it occurred to him again just how weird this was.

Alice just glared at the son of Loki. She didn't like this game one little bit, when it came to Loki's children there was always a catch.

Re: The cliffs
"My name is Jeremy Baines," Robin smiled,
"And you'd be surprised at how correct you are! Before coming to camp, I used to work for a circus, so these sort of games were quite popular and I made a small amount of money from it. It was quite fun before I had to leave." He looked back towards the clock, noting the time.
"Ten seconds buddy, get ready!"

Re: The cliffs
"Well, Jeremy," Ethan said with difficulty, finding it hard to believe the Loki-spawn."Quickly tell me what the catch is. The real catch. Cos you and I both sure as hell know this ain't fair. You'd never risk a gift from your father in a game of chance."
