Beach Day (PRIVATE)

"Oh, so I'm not good enough to be seen in daylight?" Tara was confused and slightly cold. She pulled her sleeves down and began to walk the other way.

"No, I have an image that can't be ruined. You just don't get it. You don't care what people think of you. And that's not a bad thing, that's something I wish I had."

Tara rolled her eyes. "That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard."

"Really? So you don't ever just want to fit in? Be popular?"

Tara looked at him there were about 10 feet away from each other. "I rather have one friend than fifty idiots saying I'm pretty."

"I have tons of friends, just I happen to have girls that like me, too. Oh, trouble." A few Aphrodite girls walked in.

"Jason! What are you doing here with this nerd?"

"Obviously Jason didn't come to her, Liz, you're such a blonde. She probably sneaked in for a peak of one of gorgeous tanned muscles, or his beautiful face, with those dazzling eyes and that awesome hair-"

"Eh, thanks, er, but-"

"But what, Jason?"

"Erm.....this nerd girl...she's...uh....."

"Jason, stop now. We know she's horrible and ugly, we told her before. See, Tina, you walk in here and make us all seem uncool! Anyway, Jason, glad we found you. We're inviting you to a party tomorrow in the Aphrodite cabin. Guess you're gonna be there too, Tina, because apparently we can't kick you out. Wait a pathetic xcuse for an Aphrodite child. You sure you don't belong to Athena?"

"Tara," mumbled tara. She pushed a strand out of her face. It must have fallen out of her bun. "Don't worry, I didn't come for him. I forgot my book." She held it up and looked at Jason, "sorry to have bothered you."

Jason became mad at himself. "Tara- er, Tina, wait up. Guys, give her a break. She's actually very cool, she came here to show me that. I'm thinking maybe she should be formally invited to the party."

The girls looked at each other. "Well, alright, but only because you said so. We're still keeping an eye on you, Tina." They left.

Jason approached Tara. "Look at me. Look into my eyes. Promise me you'll show up at the party. I just took a huge risk and it'd paid off. Please? For me?"

Tara looked at him. She hated party's. There were too many people and it was loud. She looked at the sand, "fine."

He grinned. "Thanks."
