Kaden's Bunk

Kaden laid on his bed, reading a comic book.

Zalia knocked lightly on his door bounced up and down on the balls of her feet while she waited

Kaden opened the cabin door, putting his comic book down. He was showered now. "Hey, Zalia, come in." He closed the door behind her. He went back onto his bed, sitting. "I'm still in shock from earlier."

Zalia sat next to Kaden, "I couldn't sleep."

Kaden held her hand, then looked at her. "It's pretty bad, huh? I keep thinking about it. Luckily you're here. That makes me feel better." It was like one of those awkward moments where he wanted to kiss her but he was afraid some kid would lurk up on them.

Zalia leaned on Kaden. "I'm so tired."

Kaden put a hand on her head. Then, he kissed her.

Kaden's kiss made her feel safe, as dumb and clique as that was. Zalia kissed back, glad it was just the two of them.

He stopped it. "Alright. I'm really tired. Let's hang out tomorrow."

Zalia nodded, "Okay. Good night." She kissed him one more time and left the cabin.

Kaden slept.
