skills/talents: artemis is extremely skilled in hand-to-hand combat, she possesses lightning-fast reflexes, sneakiness is right up her alley, and she is quite the intellectual.
flaws: artemis doesn’t really enjoy to talk, making her come off as shy and unapproachable. sometimes the girl has random, short outbursts of insanity. the girl can thank her mother for that. she cannot take being ridiculed and takes everything too far in her head. artemis also is prone to not showing her emotions to others. instead, she lets them muster and destroy her from the inside out.
fears: artemis has only a few fears, but they hold a large grasp on her mind when she faces them. she is afraid that she will one day become mentally unstable. she has an irrational fear of water and refuses to go even close to it. another fear of hers is that she will hurt someone during one of her insane episodes.
personality: for the most part, artemis is extremely quiet and withdrawn. she will make herself and her opinion known when it is needed, however. even around her friends the demigod is the quiet one of the group. it’s unclear whether the girl doesn’t like to speak or if she is afraid of rejection. it is most likely either the former or a mixture of both. when faced with social situations, artemis is only slightly awkward, mainly because people who know her don’t exactly expect her to be able to hold a conversation. she is more than able to do so, but it is rare for her to actually make the effort to do it.

powers: artemis does not have any powers, unless she could count having mentally unstable episodes as one.
weapon: artemis primarily fights with a special pair of fingerless gloves and  shin-high boots. the gloves can be transformed into celestial bronze plated gauntlets that cover her hands and forearms. the gloves can also fire celestial bronze bolts and can hold up twelve bolts each. the front of the boots are covered in celestial bronze as well, which allows artemis to kill monsters with a swift kick or ten.
armor: artemis’ armor is much more modern than the armor that most hunters and demigods outfit themselves with. she wears a combination of a concealable stab-protective vest and mask, which together cover her torso and upper arms, plus her face. she almost always wears her vest, but rarely wears her mask.
years as hunter: artemis hasn’t been a hunter for even a year yet.
life before the hunters: artemis didn’t have the prettiest life before she was sent to camp half-blood and joined the hunters of artemis. she grew up in phoenix, arizona with her step-mother and mortal father. a big event in artemis' life was when her step-mother got into a car accident and suffered from brain damage when artemis was four. as she got older, the woman started to grow mentally unstable. she would often go into trances where she would scream vulgarities and mock her step-daughter. artemis was always somewhat introverted, but the mental abuse played a part in making her even more shy. whenever artemis tried to tell her father about it, he would try to make her brush it off and told her that she was just taking things to close to heart. the girl was pretty much forced to grow up in a harsh environment. there was nothing she could do about it.

growing up the way she did, artemis became even more quiet than she was normally. this worried her father, who ended up making the girl go to a social counselor when she was twelve. the counselor told artemis’ father to try to eavesdrop on any type of conversation that went on between his wife and daughter while he was supposed to be at work, just to see if artemis was truly telling the truth. the next day that his daughter and wife were home together, the man came home early and found his wife in the middle of one of her shouting episodes. horrified at the reality, artemis’ father calmed his wife down and arranged for his daughter to go to camp half-blood that very summer. the man knew all about demigods and camp, for artemis' mother had left a note along with her infant daughter on his doorstep that explained what the girl's future would entail. that summer, artemis boarded a plane and was sent off to camp. from there, the demigod became a year-round “student” at the camp and it was four years (currently) after when she joined artemis and the hunt.

roleplaying example: the sun casted a brilliant ray of light that shone directly onto the spot where artemis was sitting. the demigod was all alone, as usual. she was okay with that though. she had a book to accompany her. the tree she rested her back on stood tall and slightly-withered. its leaves had already came and gone with the seasons. in front of the girl lay the beach, where only a few kids were in sight. that’s surprising. it’s an amazing day outside.
