Salem's bunk

OOC: Would Salem happen to be sitting on her bed?

OOC: She is, sorry.

OOC: No need to apologize, just wanted to be sure.

BIC: Avoiding the urge to leap onto Salem's bed (crushing Salem or her cat wasn't something the son of Ares wanted), Ryan just sat down next to the daughter of Hecate. "So, are hovering objects an everyday thing around here?"

"The crystals are, yes." Salem answered, moving over so that Ryan had enough room. "Do you like it so far?" Cleo woke up with cattish groan before slinking off of Salem's bunk and hopping onto Morgan's.

Ryan took another quick look around* before replying. "To be entirely honest, it's somewhere between 'cool' and 'creepy'."

Salem laughed a bit. "Some people get that affect. I feel it's comfortable." She looked over at Ryan with a crooked grin on her face. "How much do you weigh?" Trust, she has a good reason for asking.

OOC: I know why, but my first priority is the story so skeptic Ryan > first chance go with it.

"How much do you weigh?" An innocent question, but given his mixed feelings of the cabin and Salem's mischievous looking grin, Ryan was in a "question everything" kind of mood. "Why...?"

"Because. Just tell me. You'll like it. Maybe." Either way someone would be amused if not both of them. "Plus, you wanted me to use magic, right?"

"Um...I don't remember asking, but ok." Ryan had a bad feeling about this... "162...pounds, that is."

As soon as Ryan told her his weight, the daughter of Hecate used her hands to cause him to float off of the bed and about two feet in the air. "Okay, so, maybe I offered, but still." She laughed, biting her bottom lip.

Given that he was expecting something a bit more sinister, Ryan took the whole situation better than he imagined he would. As probably expected, the son of Ares was shocked by being off the ground, but he soon realized just how high off he was and let out a laugh. "Great; I'm one with the flying crap now!"

"Crystals, Ryan. Crystals." She smirked and brought him up to the ceiling of the cabin before mentally letting him go, but she made sure he was over the bed to avoid any broken bones. Salem didn't feel like going to the infirmary.

"Ow." Said Ryan, upon hitting the bed. It's not like the fall hurt too bad, but some internal instinct or something made him say "ow". He let off a relieved sigh and sat up on the bed. "Any other tricks up your sleeve?"

Salem popped a bit when Ryan made contact with the bed. "Oh, you're fine." She waved away the "ow". "Well, I can do this." She opened her hand and a fireball formed, blazing brightly.

OOC: My replies today will be few and far between, more so than usual actually. Just wanted to give you a heads up.

BIC: Ryan looked on at the fireball with awe. "Sick."

OOC: That's okay! Thank for the heads up.

BIC: She put the flame out, wiping her forehead with her forearm. "I know it is." Salem chuckled, running a hand through her hair.

Looking for a new line of discussion, Ryan asked "So, what's in that book of yours?"

"Hm? Oh, just some spells and potions." Salem got up from the bed to go get it off of one of the bookshelves, pushing passed a skull of some type of animal. She didn't know and quite frankly didn't care. Once she grabbed it, she walked back to her bunk and sat down; a tad bit closer to Ryan than before. "Here. you can look through it if you want."

Salem laughed at that. "No, no, nothing like that is in this book." She only wished. "Here,"The daughter of Hecate started to flip through the pages of her spell book, coming up to a potion to make one feel drowsy. "I know most of these by heart."

"That's impressive." Ryan looked the open pages over. "So, just out of curiosity, when would something like that [the mentioned drowsy potion] be used outside of a really complex prank?"

Salem shrugged his shoulders. "Sometimes I use it to help me fall asleep quicker, but that's about it."

Ryan responded with a shrug of his own. "So uh...anything else intresting in here?"

"Yeah, a few potions and spells that I like practicing. Like this," She made a six inch piece of rope out of the Mist before transfiguring it into a snake, then back into the piece of robe. "And I can do this." She opened her hand and an bright red apple formed out of the Mist. "Here you go." She offered it to him.

"Nice." Replied the son of Ares, a bit surprised by the transforming rope, but then an old snippet of info in his head clicked off, and he realized what was probably the cause of it.

When Salem offered him the Mist apple, Ryan initially reached for it with a "Thanks." before abruptly stopping. "You're not trying to poision me, right?" he asked, smirking as he did.
