Aurora didn't have her ukelele, which was odd, but she felt it would be better if they could just talk rather than she sing all the time. Aurora did have an umbrella and a blanket to lay on. She set up a little place up from the shoreline, and waited for Astrid. |

Astrid left her natural habitat and dared to face the local beach. As she walked in, she awkwardly considered to hold hands with Aurora, who seemed to be something like her new and first girlfriend. I mean, they had a reciprocal crush, that was quite obvious... But Astrid was still anxious about their first kiss. No one had taken an attitude yet. Maybe it wouldn't happen, and maybe she should stop fantasizing.
Anyway, the fact was that she would do absolutely anything to be close to that effulgent girl. From dye hair to going to the beach. Astrid couldn't remember the last time she went to the beach. Perhaps once when she was 6... She definately wasn't a fan of dirty sand, sun on her face and freezing salty water. At least the place wasn't very crowded in that somewhat cold afternoon. And she couldn't even dive into the sea and swim as deep as possible as she would like, because she had a large bandage covering her forehead since her last accident (which she didn't want to tell about to anyone, just because it was a really stupid accident), that she was forbidden to wet.
So the only thing she could do was to sit on the comfortable blanket that Aurora had luckily remembered to bring, put her sunglasses on, and hope that her crush wouldn't leave her side. Because that situation would be way more awkward if she was alone. A detail: She was wearing a Green Day wide-shirt and gym shorts, with a not very stylish dark blue swimsuit underneath, which she wouldn't reveal in any condition, and she didn't even know why she decided to wear. Hopefully Aurora wouldn't try to charge anymore form her now that she had already accepted to go to that unpleasant place.

Aurora had noticed Astrid walk onto the beach in simple clothes. Aurora was just wearing a dark pink tanktop and jean shorts. She smiled at her girlfriend. The bubbly girl quickly noticed a large bandage on Astrid's forehead. "What'd you do now?" She brushed Astrid's bangs away from her face to get a better look at it. Aurora grinned and sighed at the same time. She shook her head. "You gotta stop these fights!" She half-said, half laughed. |

With dareful curiosity, Aurora pulled out her bandage before she could react. "Hey...!" She frowned, but frowning hurts, so she just stared at Aurora with some fake anger shining in her green eyes. "My battle wound must be kept protected from microbes." Astrid murmured, with the same nervous formality of anyone lying about exploits. Actually, she was trying to climb a tree and managed to hit her forehead against a rough and thick branch, skinning it. But an ugly bruise such as that one seemed to have an epic story behind, and as Aurora suggested a fight, she wouldn't deny it.
Astrid straightened back her bandage and giggled in an almost adorable way. She couldn't even pretend to be mad at that girl. Usually the people who were different from her annoyed her, but that was a very peculiar case. Suddenly, she raised her arms and held Aurora's both hands softly, but quickly, so she wouldnt be able to react as hell. "Come here." She asked, kind of hesitantly. She didn't know why she said that, maybe she wanted to be closer to her "girlfriend", that even though she was standing in front of her, seemed to be quite distant, almost unreachable. Hush of awkwardness.

OOC: I do too, I just procrastinate studying. XD BIC: Aurora laughed at Astrid's nerdy answer to her question. Aurora didn't know why she was so attracted to this girl. They were on complete opposite side of the spectrum, yet seemed to come around full circle. Astrid giggled in a way that Aurora had never heard before. She grinned. That's a new one." Astrid grabbed her hands, the daughter of Bast's colder than her own. Aurora jumped back slightly then let herself be "pulled" towards Astrid, when in all reality, she just took a step closer. She got close enough that their foreheads were almost touching. "Anyway, should we sit down? I didn't lug all this from my cabin for nothing did I?" Aurora gestured to the blanket and umbrella. She let go of one of her girlfriend's hands to pull her towards the blanket and sit down, arm stretched upwards, waiting for Astrid to sit. |
