So this entry is pretty short but it's really important so read thoroughly.
We have been talking about powers in the staff area and decided to be more lax, like we had said we would in a previous entry. Now, we're bringing it back. We have come up with more loose limits, bumping up maximum shadow-traveling distance to a 100 miles instead of 30 or maximum speed to 100 mph instead of 25. These are just examples, we will of course adapt according to the powers you come up with, but generally we are now really more lax and will nitpick much less on forms.
This leads to my next point.
Shade has come up with a really good idea for power limits and cool down times. Instead of going by the usual x times per day, we're now going by posts. Say your character can use his power for maximum x posts in one go, he'll have to wait 2x posts before being able to use it again. Eg: John can create fireballs for 2 posts, he'll have to wait 4 posts before being able to use that power again.
If it's for small things like tiny illusions for example, the cool down is the same amount of posts. Eg if Lou Ellen creates a small illusion and hold it for four posts, she'll need four posts cool down.
For powers like making plants grow and shadow-traveling, which happen in one post, we agreed on a common 3-posts cool down time.
Now on to the third point.
Since demigods get more powerful with their age, we have decided to put up a special section the arena, namely this one. Read the sticky, everything is explained there :) (Here's for the Romans.)
And finally, the fourth point.
We have agreed on allowing shapeshifting (to a small extent) and charmspeak, BUT. We will give these powers only to those we feel are responsible enough to RP them. If you want one of these powers, please put a request in the character powers discussion topic, but the number of users is going to be very restricted.
