Name: Mathias Christian Kohler.

Place of Birth: Svendborg, Denmark.
Last Residence: Copenhagen, Denmark.
Race/ethnicity: Mathias is Caucasian /White, and of Danish Ancestry.
Accent: Mathias has a Light Danish accent, but speaks with slang typical of an American teenager. He has learned many social customs of the country from Camp, and his only tie to his previous nation would be his faint accent, which is not too obviously Danish.
Skin Tone: Mathias has fair skin, that is slightly tanned.
Eye Color: His eyes are a light blue color, and very colorful.
Hair Color: Mathias has golden blonde hair, his natural hair color. It is somewhat highlighted, the tips seeming lighter than his routes, but he does not bleach it.
Hair Length: His hair is naturally very spiky and messy. If it were perfectly straight, it would lie to a bit above his jawline. HIs hair is tall and spiky, and the lowest it reaches is his earlobes.
Height: 5’ 11”
Weight: 178 lbs.
Body Type: Mathias is lean and muscular. He has a well sculpted chest, with similar biceps and toned legs, from carrying heavy bags of flour and wheat, as well as wielding a heavy golden axe.
Appearance: Mathias’ favorite outfit, is a black coat, with a scarlet red long-sleeved shirt, black necktie, and brown boots. He also has a small back hat, which looks like a sailor-type hat. He also wears his Camp Jupiter T-Shirt, or a shirt with the Danish Flag. Mathias loves shirts with some sort of silly pick-up line or gone on them, which will occasionally have dirty humour. Most of his clothes will be in the color red, however.
Mathias has very dark eyebrows, which give off an appearance that makes them look much thicker than they actually are. He is not very hairy, and whatever hair he does have is light and fine. His blonde hair is naturally spiky, but often Mathias gels it up even more into it’s gravity defying appearance, giving it more volume. Myth has it that it stores the souls of the Underworld as well as a Lego Factory.
Mathias has very white teeth, most know this because he smiles a lot. His eyes are a crystal color, and he looks healthy, except for when he might be extremely drunk. He looks very manly, and often times unbuttons his shirt, showing off his six pack for comedic value.
He looks like a very attractive European.
Weapon: Mathias’ weapon is a long, dual-sided Imperial gold axe. The blade is incredibly sharp, and is made of the Romans gold, while the handle is made with grip engraved into it, so his hands can fit on it. Attached to the end of his axe, is a small charm, with the Danish flag on it, made of silver and crimson. this weapon is incredibly old, and an artifact. Mathias does not know the original name of it, so instead he refers to it as Styrna, a reference to his ex-boyfriend, Berwald Oxenstierna, who he saved using this axe the first time he used it.
Armor: Mathias’ armor is standard for any Roman, and consists of a Helmet, Breastplate, and Greaves. these are all built rather strongly, and are not the best for mobility on his legs, helping him remain stationary as he swings his heavy axe into the air, as if he were loose, it might cause him to topple. When Mathias does use a shield, it is a larger rectangular shield, the words ‘for Danmark’, carved into the inside of it, something that only Mathias can see, as some sort of ‘battle cry’.
Pet(s): Mathias does have one pet,a white haired tabby cat with brown markings, which he named Odin. Odin wears a Danish flag bandana around his neck, which is partially concealed by his long fur. Mathias does not know it, but Odin is actually a female. He refers to her as a ‘him’ mistakenly.
Skills/Talents: One of Mathias’ talents, is baking. Another talent of Mathias’ is carrying heavy objects, and using heavy weaponry. Mathias is also fond of making furniture.
Flaws: Mathias does not know his limits, and will continue to do anything to please an audience, save someone, or raise spirits, sometimes at the cost of himself. Mathias is very impulsive, and will often do ‘stupid’ things. Mathias looks on the bright side much too often, which can sometimes get him into trouble. He is always an innocent until proven guilty, and even faced with hard evidence will not give up on defending someone til the end. He always sees the brighter aspects of people. Mathias is very stubborn and controlling, and it sometimes hard to be around him or work alongside him. Mathias can also be a bit too careless and unprofessional, while his intent is often good.
Mathias does have issues with his leg. When he was a teen, he tore a muscle in his leg, and his running stance is very awkward, and he will occasionally get pain from arduous physical labor. He doesn't tell people this, as he does not want anyone to see him as unfit for service to the Legion, even though he will sometimes have to sit or rest for a few moments.
Strengths: Mathias is very strong, and is a skilled fighter. He can shrug things off easily, seeing it as another joke, just intended to poke fun at him, even if the intent is cruel and mean spirited. Mathias will try to turn something devastating lighthearted, to make it seem just a ‘little less bad.’
Weaknesses: Mathias has a hard time accepting change, or knowing that he is not the one in charge. He is not a very agile person, and is tall, fairly clumsy, as well as a mediocre runner. He is more fit to be defensive, as he used to play the goalie position while he played football ( soccer for Americans. )
Likes: Mathias is used to lower drinking ages, and as a result, he has developed a fondness for beer. Specifically any Danish brand, but any beer will do. He also likes Ale and scotch,but only in small quantities, as he feels there’s no fun in getting completely drunk too fast, as you won’t remember the fun. Mathias is very patriotic towards his home nation, Denmark, and will purchase anything if it has the marking of the Danish flag.
Dislikes: Mathias dislikes pessimists to an extent, but at the same time makes it his goal to cheer them up. He hates loneliness, and dislikes being called stupid.
Fears: As silly as it sounds, Mathias has a fear of butterflies. However, his greatest fear would have to be his fear of being forgotten. he is a peoples-person, and his philosophy follows that you aren’t living anymore if no one remembers who you ever even were. He desires to be remembered and find his way with other people, to break out of his ‘ordinary joe’ lifestyle. Part of this has been brought on by his lack of claiming, though he refuses to admit this to anyone. He does not like being seen as boring or weak.
Personality: Mathias is the definition of optimist. He is headstrong and very controlling and bossy, something that some others cannot stand about him. He loves having a squad or partner in crime, to play along with his shenanigans. He previously had his five-man-crew of Berwald, Tino, Lukas, Emil, and himself, as well as an ‘ Awesome trio’ of him, A German named Gilbert, and an American boy named Alfred. Mathias is very childlike in nature, with his carefree ambience and bossy and stubborn attitude. When the situation calls for it, Mathias can be serious, but this is often only when his friends are in danger. he is not stupid, contrary to popular opinion, and he does understand what people say about him. He tries to ignore this, and often does a good job of painting up his emotions. Occasionally though, he lets this all out with someone, oftentimes it was Berwald. He doesn’t want to let anyone know that he too, does have emotions and is fully capable of understanding just what is said about him.
Powers: As of now, Mathias does not have any or know of any powers he may possess, as he does not know his parent or potential.
Social Status: Mathias is not the kind of person who is easily forgotten, more of the type that people recognize by name. He is middle-class, economics wise. His mother’s bakery will belong to him if she ever passes away, and he works there on his spare time, while in the mortal world he works as a bartender back in Denmark, and makes a living through his wage and tips, which makes up for high living costs. He lives in a small studio flat back in Denmark, which he shares with Odin, and at one point his childhood friend, Lukas. He also shares the rent for a summer home off the coast of Sweden, with his friends Lukas, Berwald, Tino, and Emil.

Years at Camp: He has been at Camp Jupiter for Three Years as of now, including the time spent with Lupa.
Life Before Camp:
Mathias was born to Mathilde Kohler nineteen years ago, on June 5th, an important national day for his nation. This birthday fostered a celebration and patriotism for his country, which he has retained throughout the years, even after knowing the Roman Legion. His mother, Mathilde was a fair-haired and fair-skinned Danish woman, who worked at a marketplace, selling artisan crafts and pastries to local vendors. Mathilde made an income just above the Poverty line, while they still lived in his hometown of Svendborg. The two lived in a dumpy little house in the bad part of town, but Mathias made it just fine, until they moved out to Copenhagen. Mathias’ mother found an affordable place to rent out, and as a result, she started a bakery. Mathias was five at the time, just starting grade school. MAthias was just average academically, maintaining a B average in all his classes, even English. His dyslexia was very minor, and he read Danish just about fine. It was his ADHD that was the problem, with his hyperactive and inattentive behaviors. He made four very good friends through elementary and middle school; Lukas and his younger brother, Emil, Tino, and in particular, Berwald. Berwald and Mathias would sometimes get into small arguements and the such, but Mathias was really the only person that could really bring out Berwald, the Swedish transfer student, out of his shell much. Mathias was the first person berwald came out to, as a gay man. Months later, Berwald admitted to having a crush on Mathias, and mustered up the courage to ask him out on a date. The two eventually became long-term and until leaving for Camp Jupiter, marraige would have likely been in their future. One night, Berwald and Mathias had left for the bar, Mathias trying to console and cheer up his boyfriend, who had came out to his parents and faced rejection. Berwald was insanely drunk, just a few shots away from passing out. Mathias was carrying him down the Copenhagen streets, slightly tipsy himself. Mathias was encountered by the figure of a harpy stalking him down the streets. Mathias found shelter inside an old museum, the closest building around. He carried the confused and limp Berwald, hiding back in the section devoted to old empires. One of the artifacts was an old axe from the Roman ages, from the old Roman empire. Mathias quickly picked up the Axe, and slayed and slayed the Harpy, fueled by adrenaline and instincts Not realizing what the axe was, in nature. A scouting wolf of Lupa's pack had observed this, and had decided to take Mathias to the wolf house, to train with Lupa. However, Mathias requested that Berwald not remember him at all, as he did not want to hurt his lover with his leaving. The pack wolf saidthat his request would be granted, but Mathias is unsure of whether they held true to that, and he is not dumb enough to challenge someone working under a goddess.
Role-playing Example:
The Dane wake with a sudden jolt to the chest, his body immediately upright, his weight falling on his muscular arms. Ruffled blonde locks gave of a ragged appearance, the ma simply tousling them to their typical position. Vibrant cerise orbs glanced around, noticing the unfamiliarity of this new scenery. Mathias took note on how he seemed to be residing in an abandoned castle, by his lonesome. Shifting onto his feet, Mathias dusted debris from his trademark dark coat. He needed to find Noven, and fast. A feeling in his gut made him think that perhaps there were other players, but he wasn't quite sure. Entering down the main hallway, Mathias caught sight of something peculiar, standing between the shell of what was once a magnificent night in sparkling armor, was a large axe, encased in glass. A quick nod to affirm that no one was nearby, and Mathias' large fist smashed the glass to smithereens. Picking the weapon up, sizing it with his arms, it wasn't exactly like his at home, but he could make do. Mathias pushed through the main doors, noticing a plethora of rocks piled at the base, that seemed to be a challenge to scale. "Eheh, I think I'll stay here, collect food and weapons and maybe I'll find Noven", he murmured. Looking around, only to find no flag, he placed one of his own, a cheery grin on his face as he set the small red and white one into the ground.
Notes: Mathias is nineteen years old, and has yet to be claimed. He hasn’t necessarily gone on quests or done anything fairly noticeable, while he is a high achiever and desires to do his best to serve the Roman legion.
