Basil took a deep breath sometimes the air was fresher outside of camp. Being at the camp for so long makes the strawberry fields smell sour or bad in some type of way. Basil briefly winked at Lee. He stretched his legs and his arms, pulling out a cigarette and lighting it he took a quick draw fixing his jacket on his shoulders.

Lee took Basil's hand to get out of the cab, holding her skateboard under her arm. It was a bit old with worn-out stickers on it but to Lee, it was worth more than the Hope diamond. The sun was shining on the asphalt and despite the early March temperatures, Lee wasn't shivering one bit -- she was too excited. Wearing a black hoodie over her Coca-Cola tee, she put her board to the ground, adjusted her beanie on her short hair and kicked the floor, riding forward. The asphalt blurred lightly under her and she came to a halt a couple of yards later, looking over to Basil with a wild grin.
"Ready?"
"Ready?"

Basil fixed his beanie as well and smiled at Lee. He nodded his cheeks slightly reddened by the chill. He pulled his jacket sleeves over his hands taking another drag on his cigarette. Basil slowly let the smoke leave his lungs the warmth of it making him tingly all over. He put his cigarette between his lips and stuck his freezing hands in his pockets. He walked over to Lee the cigarette dangled from his lips. He inhaled, his nose was slightly red, from the cold too. Basil slowly traced his fingers over his zippo in his pocket.
"So Princess, what do you have in store for me today?"

Princess? "Do I look like a princess to you?" She looked down at herself: old, slightly ripped denims, sneakers, hoodie, tee, beaded camp necklace and some boho beads-and-leather bracelets on her wrists. Yeah, not really princess. "Anyway, what's your level, approximately?"

Basil smiled lightly, "you don't have to look like a princess to be a princess." He smiled, "and to me you fit the description pefectly." Basil leaned slightly to the slide and fixed his beanie again flicking some ashes off the tip of his cigarette and taking another drag. He winked, "what do you mean, princess?"

Lee rolled her eyes at him in a playful way. Well then, if he wanted to call her that way, it was bound to become an inside joke.
"I mean your skateboard level. Beginner, medium, expert?" she joked, grinning.

Basil leaned back slightly keeping his balance, he was so about to lie, "I'm an expert, I used to skateboard all the time. I can show you up any day." He nodded and flicked his ashes off his cigarette taking another drag and squishing the cigarette beneath his shoe he moved closer to Lee.

Basil's cheeks turned slightly redder, he had only skated a few times before and didn't remember how it went. He was pretty sure it ended badly. Basil was too deep in his thoughts to realize Lee's skateboard was rolling towards him, he was still subconsciously waling towards Lee, he stepped onto the skateboard. Basil slid his foot making the skate board flip and he go tumbling to the ground. Hitting his face.

One of Lee's hands flew to her mouth as she went over to him, trying not to laugh too hard. She wasn't laughing at him, just at the whole... situation.
"Dude are you alright?" she asked, offering a hand to help him stand up.

Basil blushed brightly and turn quickly on his side trying to make it look as that was what he meant to do. He smile in embarrassment his face bright red and his body aching slightly.

The way he blushed was adorable. She wanted to give him a hug right there right now but it might've been a bit too much. Perhaps. Maybe? The short wiry Native American girl helped him back to his feet and pushed the skateboard back to him.

Basil stood up and puffed out his chest he leaned down to meet Lee's ear, "Princess, I never tried in the first place." He took her skateboard and placed it on the ground before kicking off for momentum.

She ran after him -- in this crowded place she couldn't just use her speed powers (which was a shame) -- but she was still really fast and caught up quickly.

Basil tilted his head slightly in question looking to Lee, "what?" He spoke to soon as he lost balance for a mere moment catching himself before he fell and continued walking.

Lee chuckled. "Your stance. Feet apart, crouch down a little otherwise you'll keep falling. Also, use your rear foot to push yourself forward, not the front one."

BIC: Basil got the hang of it rather quickly, after 20, 30 minutes that is. Which, for a newb, is rather quick. Lee showed him a couple of tricks and the next hour flew by without her even noticing -- she never noticed the passing of time when she was having fun.
"Want a Coke?" she asked as they stopped for a bit, sitting on a handrail. Some of Lee's short streaks stuck to her sweaty forehead, she was panting but had a big grin on her face.

Basil smiled slightly and brushed some of Lee's hair out of her face, his cheeks slightly reddened and his breathing shallow. Basil nodded slightly, "Yeah, sure." He ran his hand through his sticky sweaty hair and made a disgusted face.

His touch sent bolts of electricity into the pores of her skin and her smile widened even more.
"Just a sec."
She rode her skateboard across the road and entered a store, coming out about a minute later with a big bottle of Coke in her hands.
"And I didn't even steal it," she grinned, coming to a halt next to Basil with a swing of her legs.

Basil smiled and swirled his thumbs around one another as Lee rode off to the store. He watched the doors for what seemed like forever to him before she appeared with the large bottle of Coke. His eyes widened, as did his smile when he heard Lee say she didn't steal it.
He nodded slightly, "Good, stealing is bad."
Basil leaned back onto the railing and slid his forefinger into his front pocket. He closed his eyes lightly and tilted his head back. Basil paused for a second before feeling around on his pockets. His zippo and pack of cigarettes were gone. A look of alarm etched across his face and his hand started shaking. He peered over at Lee not knowing what to do.

She tossed him his pack of cigs -- she just happened to have kleptomania -- and opened the bottle with a loud pssshht! Did she..? No she didn't have any Mentos. Darnit.

Basil looked at Lee, "You can't get arrested for smoking, you can get arrested for stealing." He caught the pack and took one out before slipping the rest of the pack into his pocket. He lit it and watched as Lee opened the bottle. The sound of the compress air escaping. For a moment it seemed like Lee was thinking about something.

"You can't ruin your health for stealing, you can ruin your health for smoking," Lee fired back. "Question is which you value higher, health or freedom?" She took a gulp of Coke before handing him the bottle. "Granted, no mortal prison could ever hold me. I can walk through walls." And fall through floors.

Basil nodded slightly appalled by Lee's forwardness. He winked at her, "no one would care if I died from it anyway." Basil's eyes grew large when he heard her say she could walk through walls. "REALLY? Thats so cool. Do you have any other powers? I dont have any. " Basil having completely forgot about his cigarette had dropped it subconsciously.
