So about a month ago I went to Home Depot to buy wood that would be made into a special project. I finally got a light on top of it today and it's all built. Behold: a 3/4 size currently I painted replica of the TARDIS!:
    (This one's huge, sorry)

It's awesome! The light is quite different, but that's not that important. I mean, it is, but I shall forgive you. Only, you might need to carve it first. You know, to make the squares and the seperating of the doors. It can be done with different shades of paint and shadows, but I think it would be easier that way

    Thanks for the suggestion perca!
Yeah, I recently replaced my room's light with a fan, so that was the closest thing I had, but I like to make do with what I have.
I'd carve it out, but the plywood I used is about 1/4 of an inch thick, so I don't think that would work :(
    Thanks!

I'm not saying anything too deep, it's just that, if you make even small and not necessairilly deep "incisions" on the wood, it would show in a better and maybe easier way the differences in the height? I don't know how you call it. The different levels, if you'd like. Anyway, I'm being too much of an overeacting fan. You don't have to do all that, it would just be more realistic. Which is an ironic thing to say for something fictional, but whatever

Carving's going to be an extreme last resort if I can't afford the paint. I think I'm just going to regret it if I care, but I could use different shades of blue and black to make the different shade of light.

That would work too!! Just make sure you know what you're doing because it can turn out as the complete opposite from what you're expecting!

Sorry for the double post, but I feel it's okay, due to the fact that this is an update on the subject.
I just bought some paint for my TARDIS, and here it is!:

Thanks Morgan! I just got the first side finished (only the blue base coat) and should be done with that in about an hour or two. Since it's spring break I have a lot of time off, so when the base coat dries(which should be in less than 12 hours) I'll start the doors, and then the words. Pics when it finished are garunteed! ;)
