Great. They wanted him dead. "I though you was supposed to be good cop or something, and now you're calling for blood too? What the crap did I walk into?"

"We could just kill him here and now, but he might actually be telling the truth. He hasn't soiled himself and spilled secrets." Veronica grunted and lowered the spear to a resting position, then smiled in a friendly manner. "You walked into Camp Jupiter, and we are very protective of our lands. Alex, shall we escort our guest to the main camp?" She asked, sounding friendly once more. Now that she wasn't going to kill him, she might as well act friendly to him. After all, he might end up being useful at some point.

Camp Juipter. This girl must be on meth. They were next to a highway and some dry, mountainous land. Where could there possibly be a camp set up? And now spear-girl is playing nice? This was just getting crazier by the minute. "Your lands? Main camp? Are you on crank or something, you're next to a highway! Where exactly would this main camp be? And better yet, why would I want to go there with two people who I've known for less than 5 minutes and have already verbally expressed the desire to kill me?"

Good cop. Right. Alex really wanted to agree with Veronica and kill the guy. However that was his impulsiveness speaking. No need for hasty actions, right? Right. "Well, you are not obliged to come with two people that may potentially want to kill you. You can stay in the outsode world where thousands of monsters will want to kill you. As for Camp... hasn't Lupa told you anything? Cause l am much too bored to explain. So basically, do you WANT to be escorted or not? If you do, you have actually a higher chance of surviving."

Oh, decisions, how fun they could be. Especially when they were both equally as risky. First, there was the option of going into a tunnel with the two psychopaths, both of which have been calling for Nate's blood. However, there was the alternative (as proposed by the make psycho) of leaving the two behind, but putting himself at risk of death from many other monsters. Nate gave it a minute of thinking, and then unveiled his answer. "Fine. I'll go with both of y'all to Camp Jupiter or whatnot."

Veronica decided to take a different approach than Alex, looking over to her legion cohort. "Are you sure he's mentally stable? He can't tell the main camp's location. We might want to have him checked for head injuries when we get into camp." She said rather gravely as she headed to the maintenance tunnel door and opened it. "After you, Nathan Scott."

Of course they wanted him to take point, how else would they get him without him knowing? Regardless, he entered the service tunnel.

BIC: Alex wishpered back to Veronica: "You may be right, we'll see." Then turned to Nathan Scott. "Right, uh... so, l will guess you hadn't even be told that Camp was Camp. How inconvenient." Shots fired potentially? Mostly checking his condition for Veronica's sake -she seemed aggressive herself andast thing he wanted was to fight over anything insignificant with her, leading to a battle to the death or whatever.

Nathan looked back, giving Alex a cold look, and then looking forward again. He wasn't read his Miranda's, but was sure that everything he did would be used against him. Where? Nate didn't know, and wasn't going to ask either. They already wanted him dead; saying anything might just put them over the edge.

Veronica nearly whistled with mirth at the discomfort that both boys were exhibiting. There was something utterly thrilling and delicious about making people uncomfortable and squirming that almost filled her with joy. Instead of letting on, though, she kept her face fairly grave, enjoying this charade. She walked behind the new demigod, although she found herself humming along to the tune that she had been trying not to sing. "I will kill you in your sleep, so you better try try and keep awake. With your left eye open and your right toe twitchin', 'cause I'm in the kitchen with a knife that's itching for your red blood. On those white sheets."

Oh s**t. Oh s**t! That girl is, through and through, a psycho. When will this damned tunnel come to an end... "Y'all try that, and see how it turns out."

"Hmmm? Try what?" Veronica asked, tapping the handle of her spear to the tune still. Would Apollo just let that music go away for a few minutes? Please? She would be willing to burn an entire boar. Or an entire cohort. Just to make it go away.

Veronica laughed, and surprisingly it did not come out as the stereotypical evil laughter that strikes fear into the hearts of men. "I apologize, Mr. Scott. I have had that song stuck in my head for three days and I cannot get it out. I assure you, Alex was complaining about it far before I ever threatened to kill you. I don't even like the song. I promise, I have no intention of stabbing anyone in their sleep. I'm actually a very nice person off of guard duty."

"Whatever you say." Yep, she's a psycho. Who gets a song about murder stuck in your head? Psychos and freaks, that's who. Nate didn't even want to know what the other guy was planning, it was probably something horrid as well.

The guy was freaked out dude! Psychological violence proved to be effective and frankly, quite funny. And wouldn't result in him being exiled from the Legion. "Dude, chill. I mean, we won't kill you cause it would result to heavy punishment. Though you will have chances to die. In War Games, in missions and in many other cases. We basically are the least of your worries."

"Well that's reassuring." Nate was really starting to get annoyed with Psycho and A**hole, and it was evident in his voice.

"Come now, we haven't had a death since the Battle of Camp Half-Blood. That's been, what? Two years? Few comas, a bunch of broken bones, that kid who had Hannibal step on him... We're actually fairly safe. Inside of camp." Veronica said pleasantly, perking up into her socialite happy persona. It was quite a bit of fun watching Nathan Scott squirm, but once they got to the public eye of camp, she had to be the same person they expected. That way when Scott said something, they would look at him like he lost his mind. And that. That would be delicious to watch unfold.

The tunnel seemed longer than usual due to the awkward 'conversation' with the potential recruit. Then again Alex had seen worse people than what he looked like make it into the Legion so, 'to-be' recruit seemed a tad more accurate. The guy seemed intent to mock them, commenting on the, uh... accidents? Yeah, accidents that had happened the way he did. Though Alex wouldn't do anything about it. Wasn't worth doing anything either.

"Oh, sweetie, it's not just the tunnel guards who are armed. It's everyone." Veronica said brightly as they walked out of the tunnel and into the sun. The Little Tiber river rushing past them, and beyond that Camp Jupiter. There was a strong mix of campers with and without armor, but you could catch sight of gold from weaponry on almost all of them. "Welcome to Camp Jupiter. The only safe place for Roman demigods."

Yes, a safe haven where at least two people who knew only his name wanted him dead at first sight. Oh the irony.
But that aside, there was the camp, which looked less like a camp and more like a city. An old, old city. Or at least the outskirts of one. "So is this the part where I get stabbed in the back, or are we going to talk with that augur guy and wait for them to give the ok to stab me in the back?"

Alex really wanted to get this over with, since for no apparent reason he was starting to lose his temper. "Well, to be fair, less,worthy guys than what you seem have made it to the legion so realistically chances are in your favour."

"Well if that's the case," Nate said with a hint of excitement in his voice, "let's get on with it."

Veronica nodded, "We'll have to cross the Little Tiber, there are no bridges, we'll have to get a little wet."
