Life Before Camp*: Paulina was born to Sadie McMillan, a nurse at a local hospital. Her father seemingly left them before Paulina was born. But, Sadie still loved him and hoped he would come back. All she ever told Paulina was that he was a doctor not from the same hospital. She would never mention his name, what he looked like, or even his age. Though, Paulina didn't really care. Her father abandoned her, why should she care? One day, her mother decided to find a new hospital to work at. She found one in New York City and she moved there with Paulina. She didn't mind the move, Paulina always thought New York was cool and wanted to visit. Now she got to live there!
She worked hard in school, and managed to get good grades. Despite her ADHD and dyslexia. She didn't really have a lot of friends, but there was Mitch. He was a boy who was in every single one of her classes. He seems nice enough, so Paulina befriended him. He was taller than her, like 6'3. He could've played basketball, if not for his muscle disease that prevented him from doing most things. Paulina was worried sometimes that people would bully him, but no one did.
One day, she was hanging out with Mitch, who seemed very uneasy. He wanted her to go home and wait for him. Paulina didn't understand, he promised her that he would go to the library with her. Now, he was acting strange and wanted to go home. She lied that she would and headed off to the library. She wished she never did that. Paulina only made it about a hundred feet before a fat chicken lady grabbed her with its greasy talons. Good thing Mitch called her bluff because he smacked the monster with his crutches. He got there pretty fast, considering the fact he was crippled. But, Paulina noticed something odd. Mitch had goat legs. She thought she was having a bad dream.
After Mitch hit the monster with his crutches some more, it let go. He was able to grab Paulina and made a run for it. After, when they were able to get away. He explained everything to her. She was the child of a god, her mom knew, he was sent to protect her. He then told her that needed to get to Camp Half-Blood. Paulina agreed and left with Mitch.
RP Example*:Paulina stood by the basketball court. She watched the Apollo kids play the sport. Though, she never got into it. She was more focused on their form, and trying to see if they sustained any injuries. A weird hobby, but she wanted to make sure they didn't get hurt. Sure, the Apollo kids were probably able to help themselves. But, it was in Paulina's nature to want to help. She watched them play for a while, she smiled softly when they were finished.
