Charlie and Clarissa

*Grabs a pick and strums the riff of "Something in the way" by Nirvana on guitar* *hums* It's ok to eat fish...Cause they don't have any feelings...

Clarrissa walked into the music room. Ripped jeans, free falling hair, converse lace ups and her hoodie. Typical outfit. Hearing a boy hum a familiar tune, she would smile, walking over to the piano before sitting down and beginning to play a song that she had written.

Charlie suddenly stops playing guitar and looks over at a girl playing piano, well she wasn't that bad. I slowly put down the guitar and walked over to her, "Hey you are pretty good at this, did you write that yourself?" Charlie asked grinning.

Slightly startled by a voice, Clary would look up to see a well, not familiar face. At least the guy looked friendly enough, right? "Uh.. thanks. And yeah. I-i did," she responded.

"Well, can you play anything else?" Charlie said kind of awkwardly,"Sorry to be so weird all of a sudden...", Charlie paused and said "Oh sorry, my name is Charlie Hillside and you?"

Clarissa forced a smile. "I... I play the b-bass pretty well." She listened, the boy saying his name. "Clarissa Luce. Child of Iris. Most tend to um.. call me Clary, however."

"Huh, Clary...I like that name..." He said smiling, " so you play bass too huh? Awesome, I do too!" Charlie said kind of oddly swaying back and forth..."Do you like Nirvana by any chance?"

Clary nodded her head ever so slightly. "I listen to... a few of their songs. I mainly get into what people call heavier metal. But, Nirvanna is a good band."

"Metallica, Megadeth?" Charlie asked. Charlie just sat down and said "I should've been a child of Apollo..." He looked down " I absolutely hate being the, smart kid, people just like to bully the living crap out of you..."

"Metallica, Slip-knot. All that good stuff." She took a moment to hear the boys comment before laughing once without humor. "Try being the dark emo child of Iris."

Charlie laughed and said "Iris, rainbow right?" Charlie asked confusingly, "How long have you been at camp?"

"I think maybe around 3 years maybe..My mom is Athena, so that explains all the smart stuff ya know?" Charlie said, "Do you have any powers?"

"I can blind and burn things with l-like... light, you know." She though for a moment. It was a long shot, considering that the vast majority of Athena children did not have powers, but she decided to ask anyways. "Yourself?"

"None, I think..." Charlie said sighing in disappointment. Charlie then grabbed a guitar awkwardly, "May I see you play?" Charlie said.

Getting up from the bench at the piano, Clary would grab the guitar from Charlie. "Um.. sure," she said. The two of them talking about Nirvana, what other song to play -well, try to play- than "Come As You Are?"

"Yeah, sure!" Charlie said enthusiastically, Charlie was sort've thinking he had made a new friend, considering he never really had much growing up.

Clary smiled slightly, begging to play the guitar. After all, she had always liked the song.

Charlie had watched as she played the song, very well actually, she had not missed a note. She played on each fret like she was a professional. After the song was over Charlie had said "Woah, you are great at this!" he said enthusiastically, "now it's my turn" he turned an grabbed an electric, he then started playing Foo Fighter "The Best of You" not singing just playing, never missing a note, he finished and asked "Well? AM I good?"

Clary laughed and clapped after the boy was done playing his song. "Pitch perfect, kid!"

Charlie smiled, "Thanks Clary..." just then Charlie thought of something, "Clary!" he said to get her attention, "Iris-Goo Goo Dolls.." he said kinda laughing,"classic song for your mom.."
