Astrid's Bunk

Astrid was exhausted beyond exhausted. She had been out training for most of the day in prep for her missing a few weeks in honor of Christmas. Seeing as her and Aiden weren't going to be here for the holidays she hoped she could sleep easy at least once before the chaos of her castle home. After a quick shower and changing into something for sleeping in she sat on her bed and wrote some lyric ideas down and listened to some old rock songs through her Beats. It was relaxing and kind of nice to finally have some alone time before the chaos that would be Christmas. With a few finals songs Astrid curled up under her covers with Seamus, Sky, Izazel and Kriete snuggling close and drifted off to sleep.

Could you cut it out? Zeus have mercy, George, you're falling asleep on me again.

I can't help it! whined George, swaying as he tried to wrap himself tighter around the caduceus. I stayed up all night binging on that show about black oranges or something.

"Hush, both of you," Hermes hissed out of the corner of his mouth, putting a finger to his lips as he tiptoed to the window of the Norse cabin. In one hand was his caduceus; in the other was a beautiful yellow ball python, wrapped around his wrist contentedly as he tapped the window. Automatically, it slid open without so much as a creak.

Satisfied with his handiwork, he held the snake up to the opening; unraveling itself from his arm, it slithered down to the floor and towards Astrid's bunk, where the girl lay sleeping with her other... pets. Seriously. Wasn't that a bit dangerous? What if she rolled on one of them and killed them? Or they reflexively bit her? Hermes was no animal expert, but at least he had a bit of common sense.

He shut the window and disappeared to the next cabin.

Astrid woke when something was slithering up next to her in bed. Waking up she noticed a new friend for her, along with a card from her father. She smiled and watched as the Ball Python, named Oracle she found out, smothered her way around the small group of Astrid's friends to keep warm. The daughter of Loki went back to cuddling with her friends ad before long fell back asleep, thanking her father in her sleep for the new friend.
