At long last the renovation of the Hephaestus Cabin has finished. Now Maverick and the other new Demigods of the Fire, Forges and other Inventive stuff have their own Bunk Beds and of course their little personal workshop where they tinker to their heart's desire.

Maverick found a spot at the far corner, being a nerd and stuff, he's a socially awkward person so he thought that far away from others was the best place to be.

Immediately he set down his works on the little table beside the bed and started modifying his bunk, installing security measures and renovating the whole appearance of his space into techno-mechanically themed which reminded him of his mom and his home.

And back to the Hephaestus cabin Hermes went, when he realized he had missed one of the kids' presents. Apparently he'd skipped over the kid's name when he was checking off the delivered presents.

With a yawn, the god entered the cabin just by tapping a finger on the door, which opened automatically to let him in. It was getting pretty late, about 2 am now, which meant he was a bit behind schedule thanks to Martha and George's bickering about what they should have for breakfast later and the fact that George was, apparently, drooling on her (it was actually a dripping icicle on the Khione cabin) -- but they were asleep now, his caduceus strapped to his back. He pulled out Maverick's present as he went over to the boy's bunk, avoiding a half-built robot-looking thing sitting in the middle of the floor.

He laid the small box on the foot of the sleeping boy's bed and then disappeared.

Type of Gift and powers of this gift: Ring which can transform into a 1 meter in diameter shield with technologically flashy futuristic rotating gears which doesn't do anything, just for show, now the power of this gift is it's durability is far more than a normal CB shield it can withstand 2x what a normal CB shield can,  a 2 inch spike is hidden under a rotating gear ready to stab any flesh it might come in contact with (approx 10 spikes), it also has a very sharp edge which can wound like a knife.

It was already 5am when Maverick's alarm rang. He felt something fell as he turned in his bed, feeling it for one last time before he'd wake up. Suddenly the little box exploded like an over-pumped balloon.

With some klinklang he heard, he rolled over to the side to see what it was, and it was a cool futuristic like shield. He knew it was too good to be true. He thought he was still half asleep, but suddenly he heard screams of joy echoing throughout the room as his siblings expressed their gratitude to their father.

A sudden jolt of happiness struck from within his body instinctively made him leap out and get the Shield. Dad he muttered Thank you oh so much!

He then slipped his hand inside and gripped the shield, looked in the mirror admiring how cool it was until he made it revert back to it's original form, fashionable ring almost like a frat ornament with the word "Ήφαιστος" etched in it. Much like how an artist signed his works, this was the sign and Maverick's remembrance of his dad.
