Tiberia's bunk

Tiberia's bunk was probably one of the neatest of her barrack. The bed was always carefully made, not a single crease in the purple blankets. Her sword hung on a hook next to the head so she could grab it quickly in case of an emergency. She also had her pugio, which always slept in its sheath under her pillow. You never knew. The walls had pictures of modern day Rome: the Colosseum, the Forum, the Arch of Titus. There were also pictures of her family and friends, especially Romulus and Leandra, but all the images looked small compared to the purple Legion XII banner that hung right above her head. Aut vincere aut mori, those were the words Tiberia woke up to every morning.
