"But why can't you just go?" The daughter of Jupiter asked clearly frustrated now. She stood with her hands on her hips and waited for Leandra's reply. The two had been previously talking about the trip to New Zealand that one of the Greeks at offered. It was some sort of social gathering that was happening and seemed interesting, when Dimitri mentioned it to her. Thus far, Leandra had said no, and Dominika had made it her goal to try and get Leandra to agree. It seemed as if it'd be a long shot, considering the last time Dominika had convinced Leandra to go to something was the Halloween dance, and things didn't turn out that well, so to speak.

Leandra stood firmly rooted in her spot, arms crossed over her chest. She was giving Nika a stubborn glare. "Let me explain this again. They are Greek. We are Roman. They are Greek. We are Roman." This seemed rather obvious to Leandra, but Nika still wasn't getting it despite the disastrous Halloween party that they had been to.
"Greeks and Romans have been fighting for thousands of years, and just because we aren't allowed to wipe them off the map does not mean that I want to go anywhere near their punch again." Leandra said, her face flushing hotly as she thought about the last time that she had been Greek side. Leandra had ended up drunk and trying to start a fight. It wasn't right. She didn't trust the Greeks to begin with, and after Halloween she had even less reason to.

Sighing she rubbed her forehead a bit when Leandra went into the obvious stigma of Greeks and Romans not getting along. The daughter of Jupiter didn't have the same view most Roman's did, mostly due to the fact the first person she met, happened to be a Greek visiting the Roman camp. Her views weren't the same at all. She saw Romans and Greeks as the same. "Leandra, there's such a divide between the two, and there doesn't need to be. The more you try to open up to them the easier it is. You have to show them you aren't that scary, get rid of the stigma."
Dominika wasn't usually the one to try and create the link between two groups that hated each other, but the fact her boyfriend was Greek made it difficult. She smirked a bit at the mention of the punch from the Halloween dance. "Well," She paused mused for a moment, remembering how fast the alcohol ran through her system. "You had fun didn't you?" She posted as a joke with a light chuckle. "You can bring your own punch this time, and you wont have to worry about it, problem solved!"

"Fun? I nearly started a war by trying to kill that matula stulte with an unnatural affection for his mangy cur." Leandra replied, "And the hangover was really not fun." Leandra was quiet for several seconds as she thought, looking at Nika up and down.
She had fun. She wouldn't admit it to anyone, ever, but she had fun. It was also a regular charlie foxtrot. The diminutive Roman sighed, thinking. New Zealand did sound fun. Greeks did not. "I'm the only friend you have with a passport, aren't I?"

Dominika watched the daughter of Angerona as she responded. Her arms moved from her hips and were now folded. The girl in front of her mentioned the events of the night and she laughed a little shaking her head. "Come on the wolf is harmless, she was just trying to protect the a**hole." Nika said sternly. Andrew actually scared the daughter of Jupiter. He shouldn't have that over her, but he did and she couldn't shake it.
When Leandra mentioned the passport thing. Nika looked to the ground for a few moments and then back up to the girl. "Well, my only other friend I go out of my way to talk to, is already going... And you're my only Roman friend. Do you see the problem? Besides New Zealand will be fun!"

Leandra raised a dark eyebrow, then scratched her chin thoughtfully. "What exactly do you mean I'm your only Roman friend? Spill the beans, woman, you've got a special Greacus friend don't you?" Her voice was mockingly accusatory, with a hint of playfulness. At the same time, she wondered very much why all of her friends seemed to end up dating Greeks when she very much disliked and didn't trust them.

The daughter of Jupiter looked at the short girl in front of her. The words that came out of her mouth had caught her a bit off guard, and she continued to have her arms crossed. A stern look came across her face and she sighed. "Well, I mean I don't have many friends in the Roman camp." She said remaining eye contact with Leandra, until she got an idea and smirked. "I'll tell you about it, if you agree to go to the ball in New Zealand with me."

Fiendish plots, trickery and blackmail were all things that Romans were used to. Still, Leandra was shocked that Nika resorted to it so easily. "Careful stooping that low, friend, you may fall over." She sighed and paused, looking around. "Fine. Alright. I'll go with you. But no punch!"

Dominika smirked. Check mate. She watched how Leandra reacted and she chuckled a bit. "Deal, you can just bring your own though." Nika said beaming with delight that she finally got what she wanted. "Anyways, I know a few Greeks, some more personally you could say, I suppose." She said shrugging her shoulders.

Leandra moved over to her bunk, sitting down and opening her locker to make sure she could easily put her hands on her passport. "Uh-huh...I want to know about the one you go out of your way to talk to. The one you're willing to fly to New Zealand to see."

After hearing Leandra mention those things, she did suppose it was true. She was going to see Dimitri in New Zealand. What did that mean? She wasn't entirely sure. The daughter of Jupiter seemed well educated on most social things, but when it came to significant others and stuff like that, she was fairly naive. "Well, I uh.." She started and the smug look was wiped from her face as she sat down on the bed near her. "I don't have to fly to New Zealand to see him... We're close, and we have established he's my idiot, but I don't really know what that means." She said trailing off and looking at her hands her lap unsure of what to do.

"He's your idiot?" Leandra said with a laugh. "More like he's your boyfriend, Nika, you sly devil you." She shook her head, not really sure how anyone could not realize that they had a boyfriend. "Seriously, you're taking a transpacific flight just to see the man and you aren't willing to call him your boyfriend? What's your idiot's name?"

Dominika kept her gaze down when Leandra mentioned that it sounded more like he was her boyfriend. She would agree that it did, but she didn't know exactly how he felt about such titles. It was never made official or anything. "Well it's more so, I don't know how he feels on the matter..." The daughter of Jupiter admitted before she let go of a sigh and her eyes raised back up to Leandra. "His name is Dimitri Midnight, yea I know, the last name sounds fake, but not much I can do about that."

Leandra sighed and shook her head, standing up and heading over to Nika. "Alright, Nika, here's what we're going to do. First off, we're going to find the most utterly amazing dress for you. And one for me, I'm thinking purple for me, because I look damned fine in purple. Maybe a blue for you... Then, in New Zealand, after you knock his eyeballs out the back of his head, you clarify that you two are dating, right?"

Dominika couldn't help but laugh at the comment Leandra made of herself looking fine in purple. She cocked her head to the side and looked at Leandra, "Isn't that a rather aggressive approach to it? Do I just demand it? that's a little odd." Nika said a little confused and overall curious. This wasn't something she did a lot. She didn't normally go up to guys asking them to be her boyfriend, for good reason though. Most of them were scumbags or dumba**es. "Also, why are you helping me? You don't like Greeks."

"Can't stand 'em, but I also got celestially vetoed on the whole destroying all Greeks a couple years ago, and they aren't going to go away." Leandra shrugged, "Tibby has her Graecus. Everyone deserves to be happy. Besides, we're going to show them that Romans are far hotter."

The daughter of Jupiter chuckled a bit at the hot comment. "Well, everyone knows Roman's are far hotter." She said with a playful wink. She sighed and laid back on the bed. Only thing about the whole dance thing, was she forgot she was going to have to wear a dress. It was one thing to wear the dresses she wore for ballet and skating, but an actual dress for a more formal event made her more nervous. They weren't her thing to wear, and she didn't know the first thing about picking one either. "Finding a dress is going to be painful and a waste of time." The demigod groaned.

Leandra laughed as she heard Nika muttered about finding a dress. "I don't think it will be too bad. By the way, this Dimitri fella. If he hurts you, I'll kill him." Leandra said, looking down at Nika lying on the bed.

"I don't think you understand Leandra." Dominika started as she shot a glance over to the other girl. "I am not a fan of wearing dresses. Almost half tempted to wear a suit. Also that's fair, I wont get in your way." The demigod said as she laid there still having her mind on the whole dress ideal until her mind flickered to another topic. "Hey, so I doubt any Greeks ever caught your attention, but have any Romans caught your eye yet?" Nika asked with a mused smile on her face.

Leandra made an indistinguishable noise and her face darkened as it felt red and hot. "Well, technically I guess I'm dating Colten son of Cupid from the 2nd." There needing to be a clarification since there was a Colten and a Colton in the 2nd. "But I dunno, it's kind of weird and I haven't seen him recently. I had a huge crush on Romulus..."

This caused the daughter of Jupiter to sit up and give Leandra a look. "Technically? You guess? Come on now, are you dating or no? Also do you not like him and still have a thing for Romulus?" She asked and was trying to pry for more information. Whether the short girl would oblige to her prying for information that was another matter.

Leandra couldn't blush any darker, she took a deep breath and let it out, making a slight squeaking noise as she did. "Romulus has no interest in me at all, and I'm not exactly in his league. It's a pointless, unreciprocated crush. Colten is nice, he's just...he tries too hard. And it's all about him."

"Well, maybe you don't need either of them then." Nika said shrugging her shoulders a bit and keeping her gaze on Leandra. "I think you need someone who doesn't have to try hard, and someone you're interested in. I say just don't pursue either of them. That's what this one book kinda said once.." She said mumbling the last part thinking back to it.

"I dunno. I kind of feel like I should give Colten a fair chance. As for Romulus...yeah...no chance. Really fabulous podex, though." Leandra shrugged again, the. Decided to divert the conversation away from her own lack of love life. "What book are you reading?"

"You could." Nika said about Colten and she crossed her arms at this point. When Leandra asked about what book, she sighed softly. "Well, long story is, my mom got me a box of self-help books, which is kind of weird, but to be grateful for them, I'm reading them regardless. The one in particular I was reading, was 19 reasons you're with the wrong guy."
