Forest And Sword Empty Forest And Sword

Post by AutumnSiren 5/2/2016, 7:08 pm

Josh smashed the flat of his Stygian Iron blade on the dummy. He may or may not stole from the arena and moved it to the forest for more private sword training practice. Josh's fighting style is more focused on causing pain than anything else. Sure, he still uses the things he learns in training, he would kill things only if he absolutely had too.

He continued on hacking and slashing on the dummy, mostly using it right now to vent frustrations out from the past. Sticks and leaves flew up from the ground from his ruthless movements. Josh eventually and suddenly heard a stick crack behind him and whirled around breathing heavily, looking to what have might have caused a stick to break, seeing as there were no more sticks around him.

Necro trotted through the woods with a sort of spring in his paws. He heard rage and anger coming from a certain direction and when he saw it was Josh he barked before running over and jumping onto his hind legs while resting his front against the demigod. He was more than thrilled to see the other son of Hecate, seeing as Andy made sure he was accustomed to all her half siblings.

"Uhh, hey." Josh said, petting the excited hellhound gingerly. Sure, Josh had seen the hellhound a couple of time he had never been in such close proximity to him nor did Josh ever catch his name. Josh looked around for Martan. He was with Josh on the walk here, and he wouldn't walk too far way from Josh.
Josh gently put the hellhound's front legs down on the ground and strode over to his rucksack, pulling out his water container and one of the six granola bar. Josh slumped down on the tree he rucksack was leaning against, his sword laying by his side.

Andy rushed through the woods with her scythe in hand and a grim look on her face. That stupid hound is going to loose some fur next time I swear to Hades. She cursed in her mind. Skidding to a halt she glared at her hound but noticed her half sibling there as well. What's up little bro? And Necro I swear to hades the next time you bite into my scythe im shaving you. The daughter of Hecate threatened while pointing the tip of the blade at her hound who simply barked and gave a cocky face.

"Hey, I was just turning that hijacked dummy into salad." He indicated the very beat up dummy. Necro, that's what his name was I'll have to remember that. Josh mentally noted.
Josh became very impressed with the hellhound he somehow managed to make a cocky expression, Josh mentally applauded Necro. A nearby bush started rustling, Josh calmly pulled out a dog treat from the rucksack and Martan came bounding toward the treat.

Necro looked at the hound cautiously before moving to Andy's side, who was not leaning against the staff of her scythe.Do you ever power use? I don't think I've seen you try them once in the arena. She said curious. She wasn't one to use her powers a whole lot anyways but even still, she did spend time training her skills both in the library reading and on the field.

"Yeah, I use powers. Though mostly when no ones around or looking. Like in bed at night with a candle or something. Or here in the morning." Josh pointed towards a ever so slightly scorched area on the opposite side of the small clearing.
"Through there is one thing I wanted to try but I haven't gotten around to doing it yet."

Andy gave an evil grin. Well come on then. Give me your best shot. She said taking a few steps backwards as Necro moved to a low hanging branch and rested there. Readying herself for an attack the girl stood there with her hands ready to make a snap and activate her protective sphere.

"Wait, what?" Josh asked slightly alarmed standing up. He clearly didn't expect that kind of reaction. "I didn't even specify on what I wanted to try out!" His tone was a mix of amusement and alarm, he wasn't the kind of person to deliberately hurt another person but monsters are a completely different story.

"Well, If you insist." He said picking up his Stygian Iron blade. He was also never the one to play absolutely fair. "Γη ώθησης!" Josh half-shouted in Ancient Greek. The earth, rocks, and dirt under and around Andy started shifting and moving around fast enough to throw a horse off balance.

Andy's balance began to waver as she felt the ground shake. Grabbing a tree branch she swing herself up and stood with Necro laying on the branch beside her. Shouting incantations on the battle field will alert your opponent. Try doing it quieter or making a hand motion that summons the spell. Watch. She said before launching herself from the tree and digging her scythe blade into the earth, pulling and watching as a valley of a crack appeared with five armed skeleton warriors climbing out. We're the secret weapons of the battle field. She said as she pulled her weapon from the ground and pointed at her half sibling. We're supposed to remain as silent as the grave if we can.

With an evil grin on her face the skeletons charged her brother with bones clattering against one another. Necro hopped down from his perch and stood next to Andy, his red markings glowing a crimson red color and his long tail flicking behind him.

Do you need help? Martan mentally asked. "Naw, I'm good but thanks for the offer anyway, and I know we're supposed to be as quite as possible." Josh said grinning, he probably looked like a maniac, which had happened more than once, but he could careless. Josh slashed at the closest skeleton, which had two more flanking it. Probably not the smartest idea. So. Josh quickly changed the direction of his strike, lobbing part of a skeleton's skull. Josh now had his sword across his back. Josh created a whirlwind and pushed the skeletons down to the ground and held them there, and one by one he cut off each of their limbs and heads as fast as he could. He didn't want to be too distracted that could kill you in a fight. He then moved the wind behind Andy not to giving any indication on where the wind was at the moment.

He picked up a couple of sticks and ignited them remotely, the purple and gold flames flickering then pulled/pushed them to Andy as fast as possible with out putting the flames out.

Andy chuckled as she saw him lash and try to kill her skeletons. For every limb he fried to cut off it simply reformed and soon all five skeletons were fighting like Roman Legionaries from the First Cohort. Skeletons don't have flesh to make them die, Josh. Always analyze your opponent. She said before dropping to the ground and staying out of the way of the fire. Sure there was a way for her to quickly end the fight as well as defend herself but this was more of a lesson rather than an Arena Fight.

Josh grumbled and glared at the skeletons. Sure you can't kill something that already dead. "I wasn't really trying to kill them, disabling them would have been a better word to use." He replied hotly, becoming steadily more irritated with the skeletons. He took a deep breath, there was no need to get more irritating considering how rash he could get. He focused on the skeletons movements as intently as his brain would allow. He started wondering if breaking their bones would do better or summoning a ghost would do better.

He then had an idea, he glanced up at the sky, it looked to be almost dusk. His plan was crushed in that moment. Well he'll just have to go on the defensive. He pulled his sword up and knocked all of the skeletons down to the ground with a swipe of his blade. He readied his stance and body for incoming attacks.

The skeletons continued to fight like well bred warriors as Andy watched her magic at work. It was nice to see a good power being used with a good strategy, that being teaching Josh about his magic. Necro looked at the younger demigod and wondered to himself if it was a good idea to do this in the woods. The last time the Misfits met they nearly started a fire no thanks to Kili and her lighter. Either way though, he wasn't going to try and stand in the middle of the training.

Well then, this should get fun. Andy said rather darkly as she dragged the tip of her scythe in the dirt before charging at her brother and grasping the weapon in both hands before lunging at him.

Josh saw something flicker in his peripheral vision, as his ADD would have it, he instantly looked in that direction. "Holy sh-!" He was cut off as Andy lunged at him and which he answered with a block, bending backwards as far as I could go, and a knee to the sternum.

Andy let out an oof sound but only pressed him farther backwards. The skeletons began charging for a final assault and the daughter of Hecate smirked before pushing back and kicking her younger brother right in the gut. Always keep an eye on the opponent. She said slightly out of breath.

Josh felt the strain in his legs and lower back. He never bent that far back before, the sensation was strangely refreshing. He grunted when he was kicked in the stomach and started falling to the ground. Instead hitting the ground and staying there, he used the momentum he was given and used it to roll backwards and came back up in a standing position. He quickly turned his attention to the skeletons, and tried defending himself, ignoring the pain in his stomach.

"Umm, no, thanks but I'm good." He pulled down the collar of his shirt, showing a pretty nasty scar under his collar bone, and a couple of longer and thinner scars, though they where not nearly as nasty as the one along his collar, but still they were really bad.
