fighting? [OPEN!]

Josh attempted to slip around his opponents assault, he tripped on his own shoe. (Something at which he was semi-skilled at) he fell to the ground and tried to turn his failure in a success, swinging the staff at Adri's legs like he was swinging a broad sword.

Adri fell from Josh's swing at her legs. Now they were both on the ground. Adri laughed "Well..." then she smiled and laughed again, "I cant believe you tripped!"

"I can, I am very skilled like that!" He laughed and sat up, not standing. He inhaled deeply and realized he was hungry. He checked his watch the, most if the campers would of left the dining pavilion already.
"Want to go get something to eat, most of the campers would have left the dining pavilion by now."

"Ya sure" Adri replied. She stood up and offered her hand to Josh to help him up.

Josh hesitantly took Adri's offered hand and stood. They both started walking out of the Arena and towards the dining pavilion. "How long have you been at camp?" Josh asked trying to make a decent conversation. Josh was still sweating and the summer heat didn't help, but at least it was more moist that his home town.

"Not long. Maybe a week." Adri said. She smiled realizing that she may have just made her first friend.
"What about you? How long have you been here?" asked Adri.

"About a mouth or two, I haven't talked to very much people here. There are somedays where I can get away with not talking to other people. Which sucks sometimes, for when I need inspiration for writing my book." Josh said. Adri might actually become a friend, not just an acquaintance.

'Book?" Adri asked surprised, "you write?"

"Yes I do write, but most of the things I write are fantasys and paranormal stories. But they are fun to write non the less." He shrugged, "If you really want to I suppose you could read it."

"Sure!" Adri looked up, "If you don't mind." Then she stop at a bench and waited for Josh to sit.

Josh pulled out a small notebook out of his one of his deep pockets, he held it out lightly for Adri to take and read. "So far I've only finished the frost chapter in this book, my other ones have more finished, but I like this ones idea the best." He sat down next to her.

Adri took the small notebook from Josh, "this is wonderful!" Adri said as she read. When she was done, Adri closed the notebook and looked up at josh, his hair was messy because of all the times he tripped while fighting and sweat was beating down his forehead because of the hot day. "Very nice work" she said, "so, what else do you do?"

"Thank you." Josh said, running his hand through his hair in an attempt to fix it but ended up making the mess of his curls worse. "I read, I occasionally parkour sometimes, it is much easier to do it here than back in Idaho, and if possible I experiment with foods, seasonings, and herbs in the kitchen."

"Wow. You write, parkour, and cook? You very different from the other guys at this camp." Adri said

"Being normal is over rated, I prefer to well rounded. Plus the cooking thing, I can make a store bought meal taste way better in my opinion." He shrugged, "also have you ever made a brownie in a mug, they are delicious with wiped cream."

"Very different" Adri said with a little chuckle.
