Megan's Pad

Megan pulled her suitcases along as she headed down a trail. She kept going and soon started to pass some interesting buildings. Most of the buildings had a direct color or theme. They were quite interesting but she was looking for a certain one. Going along she finally spotted what she had been looking for. The building was painted a nice violet color with thick vines growing on the outside. On the top were pictures of leopards and little goat men. As Megan looked she shifted her weight from her left foot to her right. Then pulling her bags with her she headed in. Inside wasn’t a much different shade with purple sheets and bedding. She walked in and saw not many other people were in the cabin at the moment, due to it being the middle of the day. Walking further in, she looked around for an empty bed. She spotted herself a nice twin by a window. She went to it and swung her two suitcases up onto it. Then she shouldered off her duffel bag. Inside of it, came a soft meow before a  cat jumped from the bag. It landed on the bed softly and began to look around in interest at the new surroundings.

As the cat went to smell around Megan got to work. She unzipped the first suitcase and started taking clothes out. Then she glanced up to see an unoccupied dresser sitting a bit a ways. It had two rows of drawers and looked quite nice besides the vines growing all over it.  She went to it and pushed it towards her bed. She got it and put it next to her bed and started putting clothes in it. Because of her recent spending spree, she had a lot of new clothes she hadn’t even worn yet. She finally got through the bags and had all her clothes put away. Then she pushed the now empty suitcases under her bed, just to store them. Lastly she unpacked the duffel bag which wasn’t just full of clothes. It had some pictures of her mom and friends. She also unpacked other little mementos from home. Finally she got to the bottom of the bag, which had the most important things. She pulled out a six pack of coke and plopped it onto of the dresser. She had seen the many cans lying around the cabin and didn’t think she would have a hard time replenishing her stock once she ran out. Finally she shoved the duffel bag under her bed and sat on top of the sheets. She laid back and relaxed after finishing the task of unpacking. The small kitten climbed over her as she laid and she petted it as it explored.

Herme's landed gracefully at the door to the cabin and crept in, looking around, to make sure no naughty children were up. No-one was really there. He placed his magical sack by the door and rooted through it, "What do we have here then..." He muttered to himself, wondering what Mr.D had left one of his children. Moving boxes here and there to the side, he eventually found it. It wasn't gracefully wrapped at all, rather, it was very shabbily wrapped, leaving its contents left quite obvious, and causing Hermes to sigh to himself, "I shouldve guessed..." He carried the object over to the bunk and left it on the bed before grabbing the sack and flying off.


Details of gift:
A 250ml stainless steel hipflask with the child's name engraved it, followed by an elegant D in the corner, which could be either Dad or Dionysus. Whatever the contents, when drunk it tastes just like a good vintage of red wine. The consumer receives 0 effects of alcohol, only the taste. However, should alcohol itself be placed in the hipflask, regardless of what it is, it tastes like vinegar.

Megan came in about an hour later after the traveling god. She had just had a long jog around the camp and was really thirsty. Going to her bad she sighed before falling ontop of it. “Ow…” she said as she felt something push it her back. She rolled over and grabbed the foreign object on her bed. It was in messy wrappings and she could already tell what it was. She tore the paper off anyways and looked at it. It was a flask and had her name written on it along with the letter D. “Hmm… cool I guess,” she said to none in particular. Then she grabbed a coke can from under her bed and pulled the flask top open. She poured in the can contents and screwed the lid back on. Dropping the can on the floor she popped open the flask lid. She took a drink before almost spitting it out. What she tasted was not flat coke. It was a good tasteful red wine to her surprise. She swallowed immediately glad for this gift. She drank down the rest and to her surprise didn’t feel drunk at all. She poured in another can and this time sipped it as she sat on her bed thinking on the new gift.
